Notes:
One of the widely known Anomalies this organization is aware of is Freaky Friday. It occurs every time the calendar reaches the 13th on a Friday, regardless of the month. This would classify it as a ‘natural occurrence’ however calendars are a human invention that only humans take meaning of, it’s not like a full moon or a celestial alignment. The other facts that make this one freaky is that there are multiple causes, wishes, magic mirrors, fortune cookies and other artifacts, all of which only activate on Friday the 13th. Sometimes there is no cause and there’s some people that just swap on that day either once or every time it hits the 13th. The other thing to note about this anomaly is that it happens in a region’s local time. The positive thing about this anomaly is that it is predictable and resources can be committed ahead of time.

The swaps themselves can last anywhere from a day to a permanent swap. Most victims are known to each other but there’s plenty of random swaps. Some of the swaps are conditional, requiring the parties involved to do a certain task or understand the other person better. Some of these conditional swaps have a limited time to be completed, after that the parties involved may need to wait until the next Friday the 13th or the swap becomes permanent. With the people known to swap every Friday the 13th some of these people just switch back and forth in a cluster from 2 or more people, sometimes it’s completely random and they never return to their original bodies.

There are people and organizations out there that are aware of this anomaly and will usually exploit it. These groups usually have an artifact in their possession or know triggers to cause a swap. Unfortunately the bureau is not allowed to record or obtain these methods under the Magic User Agreement (MUA). Anyone caught trying will be fired on the spot or reported to the magic auditor and an appropriate transformation will be applied.

Action Plan:
Have agents on standby ready to file the paperwork on Friday. Document the cause and duration of the swap and assist where necessary. If you are asked by a magic user to stay out of it, document and ignore. Take precautions for your own swap, write down any information a stranger might need.
