Victoria hadn’t streamed or vlogged for a while, she hadn’t even used her powers much on or off camera. She was feeling burned out and uninspired. She’d still get the occasional message on her social media about begging to be transformed or to undo one she had already done. Though she ignored those responses for now. She was even thinking about closing her social media down altogether and returning to a quiet life.

This wasn’t the first time she had felt this way and usually when she did, she would decide to live out a normal life, getting a job and dealing with people until her passion was returned. It usually didn’t take much. All she had to do was get a job in retail and hospitality and she’d find a reason to transform someone soon enough.

She decided to take public transport, hoping to find someone being inconsiderate but didn’t, and headed into the city. She headed to a popular shopping district to check out some restaurants when she heard a commotion. Curious she pushed passed some people to see a group of protesters near the front door arguing eating animals was murder. There were four in total, all naked and covered in fake blood to give themselves some modesty.

Two of them were laying on the ground in props that made them look like they were packaged meat, while the other two yelled at anyone that walked by. Victoria smiled as she couldn’t believe her luck as this had given her the inspiration she needed. She pulled out her phone and turned it towards her as she made her way through the onlookers.

“Hi Witchlings, it’s iWitch here, sorry it’s been so long,” Victoria greeted as she got closer to the protesters. “I’m here today to let you know I’ve decided to support a new cause, veganism.” She stepped up to the two people covered in blood. “To explain the cause further, I have with me…”

“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?” One of the protesters yelled at Victoria.

Victoria put down her phone and turned to face the woman. “I’m here to support your cause, I’m a vlogger and want to tell my followers your message…”

“Oh… alright then…” the woman was a little shocked but dropped her guard, the other one just huffed as their protest had been hijacked though she didn’t do anything to stop Victoria who decided to take that as permission to continue. Not that she needed it.

“With me today is…” Victoria returned to filming and aimed the camera at the woman who yelled at her.

“Claire…” she said, a little shy but happy enough to have a larger audience.

“Claire, tell us why you’re so passionate about veganism.”

“Well, animal are living being like humans, and killing them for food is murder!”

“I agree,” Victoria said. “You don’t know who might’ve been once human. My followers know I like to turn people into animals all the time.”

“Are you crazy? I’m talking about real animals… not some made up nonsense!” the woman snapped, no longer wanting to entertain Victoria’s vlog.

“Don’t worry, I’m helping. I’m a witch, I can help you get your message across.” Victoria assured her before stepping down and approaching a random person. “Hi, would you eat the person packaged on the left there?” Victoria asked, pointing to the person in the prop who was still pretending to be dead.

“No!” The person exclaimed.

“What about the steak on the right, knowing it had once been a living being?” Victoria asked as she aimed her camera at the second packaged person as the person turned into a T-Bone steak.” The other two protesters watched on in horror as their friend had been turned into lifeless meat.

“Sure… so long as it isn’t human.” The bystander was bewildered as they watched the ‘performance’. Victoria grabbed the packaged meat and passed it to him and he went on his way, happy to have scored a free steak.

Victoria returned to the stage and put her in between the two protesters and turned to the crowd. “Would any of you eat these two women?” She asked. Most of the responses, which she forced, was a no, with the occasional not so serious yes. “What about now?” she asked as she changed both of them into sheep. “Knowing that these two sheep were once people, would you eat them?”

“No!” Some of the crowd were determined while others were a little confused. “Would it be murder to kill them, now that they aren’t people? Or is it still murder because they were? What if you didn’t know they were once a person, is it alright to kill and eat them?”

The guy in the packaged meat prop was now trying to move and tear his way out but Victoria had strengthened the prop. “Look at how he struggles for life… don’t you think the animals before the butchers do the same?” She asked before turning him into another steak. “Though as a slab of meat, you don’t see it, consider that next time. Now will any of you eat him?” She walked over and picked up the packaged meat.

“I would, he’s now beef and no longer suffering, if no one eats him, he’s just going to rot,” a man answered honestly. Victoria smiled as she handed him the steak.

“Thank you for your honesty, though would your answer be the same if…” Victoria walked over to the woman next to the man who wasn’t as keen on the idea. “That was your wife?” She asked as the woman turned into a cow before his eyes.

“Debra?” the man asked, dropping the steak.

“If she went to the butchers and ended up as steak like the man you were just holding, would you eat her, knowing if you didn’t she’d just rot away?” Victoria asked before patting him on the shoulder. “Think about it…” she said as she walked back through the stunned crowd, leaving the three animals to their fate.

Once she was back in her apartment she finished recording for her vlog. “Just remember witchlings, before you eat an animal it may have once been human. Though I guess it’s possible that you could go for anything you eat. Still ask yourself could you eat something that was once human, and if so does that make you a murderer? Thank you for watching and let me know down in the comments if there’s any other causes you’d like me to explore.”
