The Polaroid Camera whirled to life as it spat out the film. The man holding the camera took the photo and pocketed it away in a satchel for safe keeping. He liked this park, it was always so peaceful yet filled with life so there was never a shortage of subjects to capture on film. Though he didn't get to come here as much as he would like, only once a month or two.

"Excuse me sir, have you seen my wife?" A frantic man caught his attention. "She was here just a second ago... she was pushing a stroller." The man with the camera shrugged as he began to walk off. The frantic man wasn't too happy with the response but continued his search.

The Polaroid whirled once more, the subject was of a man with his back to the camera looking for something he was never going to find. He placed the photo in his satchel and put his camera away as well. He didn't like taking too many photos in a single day. People started to notice that kind of thing and when they did it ruined the experience.

As the man went to leave the park though, he noticed a news van in the parking lot and saw a news reporter getting ready to give a story. Despite the risk, he couldn't help himself, he bent down and pulled out his camera once again, he wanted to get the shot just right and the only way to do that was to take the photo where the video camera was standing. So while her support team were getting ready to set up, he took a photo of them first and just pocketed the photo for now.

Even though he managed to get rid of the distraction, getting this photo right was going to be difficult as the angle he wanted was going to make the reporter notice him. Still he had to have her photograph, it was way too tempting, so as quickly as he could, he ran up to the reporter, readied his camera and took a photo of her.

As the camera spat out the latest photograph he sighed, the reporter had began to react to him before she was captured on film, instead of the professional look he wanted, he got a confused and angry face as she began to yell. "What a waste, I should've been more careful," he commented as he removed the other picture from his pocket and place it with the reporter in his satchel."

"What's going on... stop right there!" A police officer yelled at him as he approached. Without thinking the man raised his camera as the officer began to charge.

The man grabbed his last photo and ran off to his car before he attracted more attention. Opened the door, placing the satchel on the passenger's seat. He gently put the camera away and then looked at the photo of the officer.

"Out of focus... that must suck," he said to the photo as he put it away with the rest before driving home.

He pulled up into the drive way of his suburban house and didn't bother locking the car as he took the satchel and headed inside. Without shutting the door, he went straight to his study and took the photos out of the satchel and placed the on a larger pile before gently putting the satchel and camera away. He left the photos where they were for now as he shut up the house and settled down for the afternoon.

It wasn't until well in the evening he returned to his study and sat down at the desk so he could begin sorting the photos out.

The first photo he looked at was the police officer and without hesitation, he opened up a draw and threw it in with the other unfocused photos of his collection. Next he got to the news reporter and he didn't know what to do with her so he set her aside for now. The news crew was a photo he didn't intend to take but it was a decent photo, so he grabbed a post-it note and stuck it onto the desk, labeling the pile as working people. The man looking for his wife already had a post-it note ready on the desk from all the times he had done this and that was for 'people searching'. With the woman and the baby stroller he was going to label it under family but he didn't get the dad in that shot so it went to people at the park. The other photos were from previous days of collecting and included a few shots on a nudist beach, some people in the mall or in the skate park. He even had a few more photos to add to the working people category.

Once he was done with the piles he got up and walked over to his shelves and looked for the appropriate folders for each photo. With all the other photos safely stored away he returned to the photo with the news reporter. "I don't want to, but I'm going to have to place you in the disappointment draw... it's a shame too, I would've liked to frame you and put you on my special shelf," he told the reporter as he walked the photo around the room, starting with the shelf he was hoping to put them up on. The photos on this shelf were all framed and mostly of women. "These are my ex girlfriends and I'm sure you recognize who that is, you were the one who reported on her disappearance remember," he held her out in front of a small time TV actor. "These guys too," it was a few minor sports stars. "Here's all my other folders, this first one is my high school class, I call it the year book, then there's graduations, weddings, family photos, beach, park, workers. I was also thinking about putting you in there. Nude photos, photo shoots, and so on." He returned to his desk and opened up the second draw. "You know you're real special, I don't usually give the rejects a personal tour." Without another word, he threw her into the draw and closed it.
