“Booyah!” Daren cheered as he entered the back office walking to his colleges desk. “Extended warranty, all the extras. The best part is they didn’t even need or want them.”

“You can con old ladies all day Daren,” Samuel rose from his chair. “It makes no difference, my name is going up on that wall again this month.” He pointed over to the top sales wall. He was number one for the last two months.

“Three months is nothing, I have a whole year on you, remember.”

“Oh the three months is just a start, old man. I’m going to crush your dynasty, people will forget you were ever in the top spot.”

“Old man?” Daren scoffed. “I’m only three years older than you.” Daren then thought about what Samuel said. “Alright kid,” he emphasised the last word. “You want to play with with big boys, fine. If you manage to take this month from me, I’ll give you my car.”

“Pfft, why would I want your car, I’ve got a newer model.” Samuel pointed out the window to the office carpark.

“Not, that crappy thing. I meant my Cadillac,” Daren offered. “However if I get it, I get your new car and your vinyl collection.”

“Deal,” Samuel shook his hand. “Though this time we’re getting a witness.” Samuel walked over to the door to the receptionist. “Gwen can you please come in here for a second?”

Gwen left her desk and followed Samuel to the back office. “What is it this time?” She knew it wasn’t work related, it never was with Samuel or Daren.

“We need you to be a witness to a wager we made.” Daren informed her. “My Cadillac against Samuel’s new car and vinyl collection.”

“Stop right there,” Gwen raised her hand. “I’m sick of the wagers that often go one between you to. So I’m going to propose a different contest to whatever you’ve got in mind. You have to agree now but you won’t find out what it is until tomorrow. Whatever you’re offering now will be the prizes, with the added benefit of me being the prize.” Gwen had gotten their attention. Neither of them could resist a challenge especially a mystery challenge. “Though having just you two isn’t enough. Let’s see if we can get a few more people in on the action.” She gave them a smile and before they could agree she was already on her was to the bosses office.

Larry heard a knock on the door. “Come in,” he waved his hand. “Ah, Gwen what can I do for you?” Gwen explained the wager. Larry just shook his head. “Sounds about right, however I don’t mind a friendly competition like this, it boosts sales after all and it hasn’t disrupted the business so far.”

“Actually, I don’t have a problem with the wager, sir. I was thinking I’d offer up a mystery challenge instead and was wondering if you wanted to participate, show your employees who’s boss.” Gwen sat down on the chair in front of him. “I’m not participating myself but I am running this thing and I am one of the prizes.”

Larry coughed, choking on his drink. He had always fancied Gwen, everyone did, but this went above what was acceptable. “I’m sorry I can’t allow it, HR will be up my ass…”

“But I’m HR, besides I could always quit if that helps,” Gwen teased.

“Alright fine,” Larry gave in. “So what do you suppose I should offer up in this wager of yours?”

“Three months store profit. You still keep some money though for bills and such.” Gwen suggested.

“Deal,” Larry nodded before shaking Gwen’s hand.

Gwen stepped out of Larry’s office, delighting in the victory. “Larry’s in with three months of store profit! She announced to the rest of the staff. “So who else is in?”

“Matthew is in with access to his lakeside cabin and Adam is offering up his stocks as a prize.”

“Excellent, I’ll see you all tomorrow when you find out what the challenge is. Now if you’ll excuse me, some of us have work to do.” Gwen went back to the front desk.

* * * * *

Gwen arrived to work extra early today she couldn’t wait to see her co-workers reaction to her challenge. She had her mobile off for that exact reason as she no doubt had lots of missed called and angry texts.

The first to arrive to work was Larry, and his face was red. “You’re fired! You conniving little bitch, pack your things and go, I never want to see you again!” he yelled and screamed at her as he got out of his car.

“Aww but Larry, if I’m fired and I have to leave I can’t explain the challenge and you won’t know how to get it back. Do you really want that?” Gwen remained cool as he brushed past her and entered the building.

“What the fuck, Gwen? I mean seriously, what the fuck?!” Daren was the next to arrive. “I can’t believe you did this to me!”

“It’s all a part of the game Daren, unless you’re not man enough to handle it.”

When Samuel pulled up, he gave Gwen a dirty look and said nothing. He was furious though.

Matthew and Adam looked upset and embarrassed and avoided eye contact with Gwen.

Gwen entered the building last and saw her co-workers waiting for an explanation. One she was more than happy to provide.

“Well gentlemen, by now, I’m sure you’ve all discovered what our little challenge is. Think of this as the ultimate No Nuts November, as in you’re all completely dickless for the month.” Gwen explained with a cocky attitude. “The challenge is simple, you must go the longest without wanting your dick back. If you last until twelve am December first you win everything in our prize pool. However there’s only allowed to be one winner, if there’s more than two, I win and everyone who hasn’t conceded by that point won’t get their dicks back until November next year. No one is allowed to know if you’re still in the contest or not if they do, you both get disqualified and go without your dick for two years. If you concede first you don’t get your dick for a whole year. If you concede anytime after that you’ll get it back at the end of the month. If everyone concedes, I win.”

Gwen proceed to her workstation. “Oh and if anyone threatens me, I get fired or lays a finger on me and anything I care about, none of you get them back… ever.” She paused midstep. “Goodluck and have fun, I can’t wait to see the results.”
