“We have an Eleven, Six One at Sunny River Mall,” the police scanner crackled.

Miranda felt all eyes drawn to her. The other members of her squad seemed to agree that she should take this one.

“This one’s ally yours, Rookie,” Samson said with pride.

“What’s an Eleven, Six One?” Miranda asked as she got out of her seat.

“Smart,” Katey complimented. “At least this one knows to check what the codes mean before running off,” she gave a Vincent a look. “An eleven, six one is code for a super powered being committing a robbery in a non violent manner, so usually a teleporter popping into a bank or a speedster snatching someone’s hand bag,” Katey explained.

“Yes, she can do the refresher course when she gets back, now go get changed into your uniform and meet me in the warp room in five minutes,” Samson instructed.

Miranda ran down to the locker room and opened it. Inside there was a black leotard with squad’s logo embroidered on it a golden fabric. Besides it were Knee high boots and arm length gloves, as well as a mask that covered the top of her face. She got dressed rather quickly and rand to the warp room.

“This is so embarrassing and revealing,” Miranda complained. “I mean you can practically see my ass and breasts in this thing. Why don’t I have a combat suit or something a little more practical?”

“That suit is practical, it doesn’t restrict your movements,” Samson stated. “Besides it’s a lot quicker to change into than a full combat suit and you are indestructible are you not?”

“Yes…” Miranda said as she hopped onto the warp pad. While she thought Samson made a compelling argument she still wasn’t happy with the costume or how revealing it was.

“Warping, in three… two… one!” Samson said as he hit the console.

Miranda was teleported onto the pad the police had placed down when they made the call. She was baffled by what she saw next.

The police officers were missing their hands, it’s not they were gone, they were just on the ground in front of them, still holding their weapons and radios.

“What’s going on here?” She asked one of the officers.

“The perp had some kind of reality altering powers, at first he was stealing jewelry but when we established a line, she disarmed us,” the officer explained as he showed Miranda his wrists which now ended in flesh. “Now he doesn’t see us as a threat she’s gone back to stealing.”

Miranda picked up one of his hands and tried to put it back on but it just fell to the ground again.

“We’ve already tried that,” the officer said. “It looks like she’s the only one who can reattach the parts. Now what are you waiting for, go get him!”

Miranda leaped over the blockade and searched for the villain who caused this mess. Along the way she discovered a few citizens affected by the thief. The first was a woman who had her hair tied up in a ponytail, she was walking around frantic, patting the side of her head where here ears used to be. Miranda tried to get the lady’s attention but she wasn’t able to hear her. Miranda touched her on the shoulder, causing her to jump.

“The exist is that way,” Miranda pointed towards the blockade, the lady nodded and ran for safety.

Miranda spotted a few more women without ears and some without noses, plenty of people were missing at least one finger too. She directed everyone to the police line as she continued her search.

“So this is what the officer meant when he said she was stealing jewelry,” Miranda realised. She then hit the communication device on the top of her chest. “Mega Bruiser to base, Mega Bruiser to base.” Miranda rolled her eyes, such a lame name but all the good ones were already copyrighted.

“This is Telepthia, go ahead Mega Bruiser” Katey’s voice came through the device.

“I might need back up on this, the perp’s powers are more dangerous than we first thought, the officers have been incapacitated and civilians have taken… damage,” she couldn’t think of a better word. “I still haven’t located her but given her powerset I doubt I can take her alone.”

The communicator was quiet for a while. “We’ll be there soon…” Katey finally responded, sounding disappointed in her.

“Aww… you aren’t even going to try to fight me?” A woman taunted. “And here I thought we could be enemies…”

Miranda turned around and saw a lady carrying a rather large bag, she was completely naked, had no nose, breasts, genitals or hair. “Like my costume?” the woman asked amused with Miranda’s reaction to her appearance. “I made it myself,” she explained. “I’ve always found clothes rather restrictive and everyone likes to perv so I did this to myself.”

“Return everyone’s parts to their rightful owner,” Miranda warned. “Or else…” she entered into her fighting position.

“Or else what? You’re going to beat me? You know I’m the only one who can undo my powers right, so…” the woman shrugged.

Miranda charged at the woman but felt something was off. She stopped mid charge and looked down at her chest, where her breast had slipped further down her leotard.

“See I told you clothes were a distraction,” the woman chuckled. “Breasts too,” she gave a devilish grin. “I was kind enough to remove one of those distractions for you, you’re going to need to remove the other one.”

Miranda had no choices as she slipped out of the top of her leotard and lowered it to where here detached breasts were. The then slid onto the ground before her. Miranda looked at her detached breasts in shock and then in anger as she charged the woman again, holding her her arm reading for one of her super punches.

She charged right past the thief and gave a preemptive smirk, knowing she’d be sent flying when her fist made contact with her. However when she charged the woman she had gone past her but her arm hadn’t, it had dropped to the floor the moment she had started her charge.

Miranda was furious now and forgot her training on how to stay cool in the head of a battle. She lashed out once more with a roundhouse kick but was sent hopping along when her leg came off.

The thief then grabbed onto Miranda’s head. “You know you’re pretty cute,” she bit her lip. “I think I’ll keep you as a trophy for my first superhero battle,” she pulled off Miranda’s head and placed it on the ground. “Also thanks for the upgrade,” the woman took off her arm and replaced it with Miranda’s detached arm. She then separated the one still on Miranda’s body and replaced her other arm with it. Next she held her new fists and punched the ground, causing it to shatter and break. “Super strength, sweet! I’ve always wanted Super strength,” she detached Miranda’s leg and was about to detach her own when the body went flying out of reach.

“You’ll stop right there villain!” Katey threatened.

“Oh the telekinetic, remind me again what you need to use your powers, you need to be able to see correct?” The thief asked as Katey’s face fell to the ground, leaving her to claw at her featureless face. “Oh don’t worry, I tested it out before, it turns out whatever part I remove is no longer required to live, yet it still removed the thing that part provided, it’s all rather fascinating.”

While the thief was gloating, Vince charged at her with his super speed, but half way through his run, he separated at the waist and his legs kept going and crashed into a nearby shop. Vince was still a danger without his legs however so the thief detached his arms as well.

She ignored Samson as she walked over to Vince’s legs. “They are male legs but still I can’t say no to super speed,” she swapped out her legs for his. “So what power do you have that I can take?” She asked returning her attention to Samson. “I wish I could take you faceless friend’s power but unfortunately, I can’t swap brains.”

Samson stood near Katey, defensively he didn’t know what to do. He had been in life or death situations against villains who had threatened to destroy the world, yet this woman had taken his team down like it was nothing.

“Telepthia, shockwave. We’re retreating,” Samson called out.

“Hmm, while I can’t take your telekinetic friend’s powers, I do like the mental image of a float, faceless head,” the thief commented as Katey’s body fell to the ground.

Samson, grabbed Katey and did the one thing he had never done before, he ran from a fight. The thief chuckled as she imagined how he might react when he discovered what part she had detached from him. But for now she loaded up the last few body parts and zoomed away.

At home she set up Vince and Miranda in her study, placing Vince’s torso on a pedestal and Miranda’s head inside a display case. She had reattached her hair and genitals, while she put on Miranda’s legs and breasts while she wore Katey’s face

“It’s a shame that any part I detach the owner loses full control, even mine. I would totally steal your whole body if I could,” the thief taunted Miranda. She then walked over to the bust of Vince. “Oh thank you for your arms, they made sorting through the jewelry so much faster.” She addressed both of them now. “Oh you’ll be happy to know I ended up returning all those stolen parts too.”

The thief left the two former heroes as she walked through her house. This was the best day of her life, a simple jewelry theft had granted her access to super strength and super speed and she wanted more. There were so many powers out there that were tied to certain body parts and she was going to collect them all.
