Part 25
"Okay Dolly" said Lauren giggling at me constantly staring at my own reflection "I think the other Dolly is almost ready"
I could then see Amy's Mum and the bridesmaid step back to reveal a very embarrassed looking Amy who was dressed exactly the same as me. I bet she didn't expect her wedding day to be like this. Although I really didn't think I would be the one wearing a wedding dress on my wedding day either. Both of our Mums then gave us both a bouquet to hold and then led us towards the door.
"You're both so cute" said Mum watching us waddling along in our sparkly dresses "You must be excited to get your very own wedding"
Excited isn't the word I would of used, more like compleatley embarrassed. The door then opened and we were pushed outside, luckily there were no people around except from the rest of the bridesmaids, who were soon giggling and fussing over our dresses.
"Everyone else is inside now" said Mum leading us back towards the castle "I'm sure that they can't wait to see the two blushing brides"
Well blushing wasn't going to be a problem that's for sure. We were soon brought over to the step again and we were once again lifted over it, so that we could stand in front of the huge arch way doors again.
"Okay Dollies" said Mum we will see you inside.
Both of our Mums and Lauren then went inside leaving us in some sort of recurring nightmare. It felt like some sort of twisted groundhog day where I would have to continually walk down the aisle in a different outfit each time. I could then hear the music start up and a rush of butterflies filled my stomach again, as my thoughts turned to who I would be getting married to.
The big doors then opened and this time I needed help to get moving, to which the bridesmaids were only to happy to provide. I then reached the next set of doors that also opened and then I was once again met with a camera flash and giggling from everyone. Amy and I then began the long walk down the aisle much to the laughter and giggling of everyone. As we got closer to the alter I could definitely make out two pink and blue blobs but it was still hard to see. I could then see Sue sitting in the front row with her new husband they both looked to be having a good time as they laughed and giggled as we got closer.
"How adorable" said Sue as we went passed her "I wished I looked that cute in my dress"
Both Amy and me instantly turned more red then we already were, especially when the bridesmaids had to lift us up onto the small platform with the alter on it. What I then saw turned my face to the brightest red it had ever been to, because standing in front of me was both of our Mums standing behind two life sized teddy bears dressed in tuxedos. One of them was pink and one of them was blue, but both of them were obviously girl teddy bears judging from their faces. The bridesmaids then pushed us into position next to them and then Lauren took a position next to alter. Lauren then started to go through the motion of marrying two people together much to the amusement of everyone
Inevitably we soon reached the part were we say I do and then both our Mums started to move the teddy bears as if they could move on their own. Embarrassingly Mum made her pink teddy reach out and grab my hands.
"Do you teddy grooms take Dollies to be be your wife, to cherish and love for all eternity" said Lauren who was enjoying herself greatly.
Both our Mum's then made the teddy bear's nod their heads yes, much to the laughter of everyone.
"And do you Dollies take teddy grooms to be your husbands, to love and to hold for as long as you both shall live" said Lauren who gave both Amy and me a menacing glare.
With little option and very red cheeks I had no choice but to nod my head yes. Which then sent the crowd into an explosion of laughter.
"Then I hereby announce you as teddy husbands and Dolly wives" said Lauren who was only just barely holding back her laughter "You may kiss the brides"
Before I could even react Mum pushed the teddy bear lips onto my cheek to make it look like it was kissing me and Amy got the same treatment. Which made almost everyone fall to the floor in severe laughter, some people were crying tears of laughter. At that point I would rather go through everything I had already been through again instead of standing on that alter. I had never been so embarrassed and just when I didn't think it couldn't get any worse, both our Mum's made the teddy bears pick us up and then carried us down the aisle just like a real grooms before they get home. Some people were laughing so hard I thought they were going to die from lack of oxygen.
We were then carried outside and waiting for us was two double sided baby strollers with a sign hanging from them that said "Just Married" I could see what was coming next and I was soon strapped into one baby stroller with my teddy groom strapped in next to me and in the other stroller a red faced Amy was buckled with her teddy groom.
Everyone thought this was very funny and we had our picture's taken again with everyone over the next hour. Sue was the last one to come have her picture taken with us and I'm sure the photo looked funny with three sets of brides and grooms in it.
"Thanks for the fun memory's Dollies" said Sue patting us both on the head "I don't think that I will forget my wedding day any time soon"
The amount of photographs taken would make sure of that I thought. Sue then climbed into the less embarrassing car that also had the words just married on it and then left to go presumably on her honeymoon, but not before blowing us a kiss goodbye.
"Okay Dollies" said Mum who went behind my stroller "It's time you showed off your new husbands to the rest of the town"
I could then see Amy's Mum go behind her stroller and then both of them started to push us back into town where I'm sure more embarrassment awaited us.
