Premise:
You are a detective for your police station named Katy Bell. Over the past couple of months, you have been hard at work on the following case: three girls have been kidnapped without a trace. Zero evidence is left behind except for a suspicious chemical smell in the rooms of the young women who have been kidnapped. As a new detective, you have been mostly overlooked by your superiors. They choose to hand the case to someone with more experience, someone older, someone wiser. You manage to get a copy of the case file and begin your investigation. What better way to fly up the ranks than to solve the case of the decade?
As you investigate the case, you realize that there is a pattern to the kidnappings. The person had kidnapped a new woman on the 15th of every month, and the geographical location of the women is in a straight line, with even spacing between. As the 15th of the month approaches, you have a pretty good idea where the next kidnapping will take place. Your superiors say they will need more compelling evidence than that if they want to sanction an entire SWAT team stakeout of some random girl’s house, so you decide to stake out the house yourself.
The 15th rolls around and you drive your old sedan to the woman’s house. She seems like a happy, pretty young girl. Long blonde hair, athletic body, fresh out of college, all the things that a perverted kidnapper would want. You park your car around the corner and debate where you want to conduct your stakeout.
If you decide to stakeout in your car, go to 1.
If you decide to hide in the bushes across the street, go to 2.
1
You settle in for the long haul. You get out snacks and a water bottle and recline your seat as it gets dark. All of the previous kidnappings have taken place around midnight, so you know you have a while to wait.
Around midnight, you notice a large white van slowly creeping up the street from the opposite direction. You sit up in your seat, making sure to remain hidden behind your steering wheel. The van slowly parks in front of the house of the woman you believe is the target. What do you do?
If you alert the police, go to 3.
If you remain quiet and choose to wait to see what happens, go to 4.
2
You decide to hide in the bushes across the street from the house. You know you have a long while to wait before the attacker arrives, so you settle down carefully, making sure you are obscured by the branches.
As midnight approaches (which is the time the assailant has typically struck his victims), your leg begins to cramp. You remember your instructor from the academy and what he said about stakeouts. “Watch and wait. If you wait long enough, something will reveal itself to you. If you move before they do, it’s game over. You just revealed yourself to them.” You also think how if your body is completely cramped when the moment of action takes place, you might not be able to take down the kidnapper. What do you do?
If you slowly reposition your leg, go to 5.
If you tough it out, go to 6.
3
You carefully dial the number of the police chief, who you know will be awake. He answers on the third dial.
“What is it Bell?” He asks in a gruff voice, thick with the effect of being held awake by nothing more than caffeine and sheer willpower.
“Sir, remember how I showed you the house I thought would be attacked?” You whisper.
“What about it?”
“Well, a white van just arrived there, and a man in black is getting out with a duffle bag. He’s approaching the front door as we speak.”
The chief was silent for a moment. The man, who halted in front of the door, pulled out a set of lock picks. In seconds, he was through the front door, disappearing into the depths of the house.
“Sir, he just went inside.”
“SWAT team is on its way. If he tries to leave, apprehend the man. Assume he is dangerous. I don’t want you getting hurt.”
“Yes sir.”
You wait in the car, opting to watch out, rather than trying to ambush the man. After a few minutes of nothing, the man exits the house, his duffel bag much larger and wriggling slightly. You open your car door and raise your taser, shouting, “Police, Freeze!” The man swings around to see you standing at the end of the block and sprints for his van. You chase after him, just as the neighborhood explodes in sound.
A dozen cop cars come crashing into the street, quickly surrounding the van. A dozen weapons are trained on the van in seconds, and you lead the way as you pull the door open. The man surrenders peacefully, not interested in being tased by twenty different officers at the same time. You see the duffel bag on the floor in the back of the van and kneel down next to it. You slowly unzip the bag, a couple more officers watching over your shoulder.
Inside is the nude body of the woman. She is heavily wrapped in tape, rope, and a weird shiny material that upon closer inspection you quickly realize to be latex. The woman’s face is obscured by the latex material, fashioned in the shape of a hood. You flinch as you notice her elbows, which are pulled together by rope and tape behind her back. Her legs are taped to her chest and a muted crying sound is coming from underneath the hood.
Removing the hood, it is revealed that the woman was gagged with her own panties and more swaths of tape. Freeing her completely takes the better part of an hour.
Luckily, the woman is able to recount her experience. The man is swiftly brought into custody, and you are promoted the next day for your resourcefulness and clue-finding skills.
THE END
4
You decide to wait and see what happens. He hasn’t done anything illegal yet, right?
The person in the van shuts the vehicle off and gets out. He walks up to the front door, carrying a duffel bag over his shoulder. He pulls a small pointy object from his pocket and sets to work on the door. In seconds, the man has picked the lock and disappears in the dark of the entryway. You wait for a moment longer. After a couple of minutes, your heart pounding in your chest, you see movement in the depths of the house. The man is carrying a much larger load in his duffel bag, and you think you can see it squirming slightly. He shuts the door behind him and walks quickly towards his car. What do you do?
If you confront the man, go to 7.
If you remain in your car but call the police, go to 8.
If you stay quiet, intending to follow the van, go to 9.
5
Your leg is about to cramp. With a small gasp, you shift your weight to the side. You just manage to keep the muscle from spasming, but your weight leans onto a stick obscured in the dark. To your horror, the stick breaks with a resounding CRACK. Everyone up and down the street could have heard it. You hold still, turning your head slowly to see if anyone is around. You see nothing, so you settle back down, triple-checking for any other loud sticks.
Another 30 minutes pass. The little ‘stick’ incident has left your mind and midnight is only a minute away. You take several deep breaths to calm your beating heart. This is the moment that you will be rewarded for. The kidnapper will appear, you will heroically go in and subdue him and set the damsel free. The chief of police will be so proud of–
A small crack of a stick sounds behind you. You whip your head around to see what is happening, and a cloth is pressed over your face. You cry out and take a deep, acidic breath in, heavy with the scent of chemicals. You immediately weaken, and a second breath doesn’t help. By the third breath, you black out.
Go to 18.
6
You choose to tough it out. Your leg eventually cramps and you slowly slide it out, being careful to avoid the hidden sticks and twigs that could give off an identifying SNAP! After carefully stretching your leg, making sure to stay hidden, you feel just as good as you did when you first sat down in the bushes.
As the final minutes tick away before midnight, you become restless, looking for the attacker to show up. As your watch switches to midnight, you notice movement near the damsel’s house. You focus and see a man, dressed in all black, standing next to a window on the ground floor.
What do you do?
If you get up and shout for help, go to 10.
If you remain silent and wait to see what the man does, go to 11.
7
You jump out of your car, brandishing your taser. You sprint down the street towards the man, shouting, “Freeze! Police!”
The man stops walking and drops the duffel bag. You hear a cry of pain as the weight inside hits the ground. You approach the man, pointing your taser at his chest, walking slowly now.
“Get on the ground and put your hands behind your back!”
The two of you stare at each other for a moment. The man growls, then lunges at you. You tuck your head and pull the trigger, preparing for the impact… which never arrives. The man is jerking around on the ground, the voltage of the taser rendering his limbs immobile.
“I need backup at 416 Dover Rd!” you shout into your microphone as you roll the man over and manage to cuff him. As you sit back, your heart is pounding. You notice the duffel bag on the ground a few feet away, stirring slightly. Making sure the man is still incapacitated, you approach the bag. Unzipping it quickly, you gasp.
Her legs are taped to her chest and a muted crying sound is coming from underneath the hood.
you carefully remove the hood, which takes you several minutes. It is revealed that the woman was gagged with her own panties and more swaths of tape. The police arrive as you work on freeing her the rest of the way. With the help of two other officers, it takes you nearly an hour to completely free her.
Luckily, the woman is able to recount her experience. The man is swiftly brought into custody, and you are promoted the next day for your resourcefulness and clue-finding skills.
THE END
8
You raise your phone to your mouth. “911, this is detective Bell. I have a potential kidnapping going down at 416 Dover Rd, immediate backup requested.”
The operator pauses for a second. “Officers are on their way, Detective Bell.”
You thank the operator and hang up. You accidentally drop your phone as you hang up and it falls to the floor. You grab it from the floor and, sitting back up, you realize the man has paused. He already loaded the duffel bag in the van and is now frozen, preparing to open his door. He is staring straight at you.
You gulp and hold as still as possible. No way he could have seen you from across the road. Right? You realize that your red hair is much better at catching the light than the rest of the contents of your car. When you leaned down, did your hair flick around…?
The man slowly begins walking towards your vehicle. You remain frozen, unsure what to do. The man continues advancing. What else could you do? You already called 911, the police are already on their way. And you’re safe and secure in your car. The man can’t actually do anything to you while you’re in your locked vehicle.
With this in mind, you wave at him as he gets closer. You’re safe! He can’t do anything to you! He pulls up next to your car and tries the door. You smile at him as the door handle refuses to budge. He glares at you through the car window. Caught up in the moment, you stick your tongue out at him. Haha!
Suddenly his fist flies, and a crashing sound fills your ears. Glass fills your lap and you scream, just in time for a damp cloth to be pressed over your face. You take a deep breath in, heavy with the scent of chemicals. You instantly weaken, your second breath making the drowsy effect even worse. By the third breath, you black out.
Go to 17.
9
You choose to do nothing, intending to follow the van. The man tosses the duffel bag into the back of the van and climbs into the front seat. He starts the van and drives off slowly, keeping the RPM low. After he has left, you carefully pull away as well, following him as well as you can.
After nearly thirty minutes of driving, the van stops at a warehouse on the edge of town. It is completely deserted, and you park a long way from where the van parked. You are sure you stayed out of sight the entire chase. The man kills the engine and gets out, swinging the duffel bag over his arm. He stalks inside, the duffel bag squirming as it hangs against his back.
What do you do?
If you call the police and wait for backup, go to 15.
If you pursue the man by yourself, hoping to gain all the glory solo, go to 16.
10
You quickly jump out of the bush and shout, “Hey! Get away! Help!!” The man’s head whips towards you, before he turns and sprints in the opposite direction. You change your strategy and yell, “Police! Stop!” But the man is gone. His all-black garb melts seamlessly into the night and he disappears from view.
You stand in the center of the road for a moment, shrouded in light from the streetlamp. You quickly call 911 as you brandish your taser, in case the man were to jump out of the darkness and attack you. Luckily, nothing happens before the police arrive.
Looking at security footage from the woman’s doorbell, the police confirm your story. You are rewarded for preventing a kidnapping, but your promotion never arrives. Maybe you should have followed the man, or waited until he actually did something illegal beyond trespassing.
The End
11
You remain hidden in the bushes. All the man has done so far is trespassed, right? No promotion comes from stopping a man from trespassing.
As you watch, the suspect quickly adds ‘breaking and entering’ to his list of crimes as he slides a window open and tosses a black duffel bag inside. He climbs in after it and closes the window behind him. Now would be a good of a time as any to call for backup, but you are determined to catch him by yourself. What better way to get promoted than to stop a kidnapping single-handedly?
Once the man exits the house with a much fuller duffel bag do you decide to call the police. You quickly dial 911 and whisper what you are seeing into the microphone. The operator assures you that police are on their way.
The man closes the window behind him and begins walking away into the dark. You realize you need to do something, or your quarry will escape with a helpless woman in tow. You jump out of the bush to confront the man. As you tear across the road towards him, you decide how best to intercept him. What do you do?
If you shout “Stop!” and try to tackle him to the ground, go to 13.
If you shout “Taser! Stop right there!” and prepare to zap him, go to 14.
13
As you approach the man, you turn your run into a sprint. The man hears you coming and you shout “Stop!”. When you crash into the suspect, the duffel bag goes flying one way, the man goes flying another, and you go a third. You quickly recover and jump to your feet. You barely hear shouting and crying coming from the duffel bag, confirming the kidnapping taking place. As you square up to take on the man, he pulls something from his pocket. Without looking at what it is, you charge him again. This time, he spins to the side and pulls a large cloth bag down over your head. It’s just as big as the duffel bag, if not larger, and it pins your arms to your sides. You crash to the ground and try to pull the bag off, but the man presses down on you, pinning you in place. You try to cry out, but a sudden acidic smell fills your nose and makes you cough. You take a deep breath in, heavy with the scent of chemicals, and your vision immediately fades. All it takes is a second breath, and you black out.
Go to 17.
14
As you approach the man, you unsheath your taser from its holster on your belt. Once you are within tasing distance, you stop and shout, “Stop! Police!”. The man spins around with a look of panic in his eyes. He drops the duffel bag and takes off sprinting in the other direction. You look down the sight and fall through the trigger, and the man collapses to the ground, his body jerking. Your heart pounding, you run up to him and quickly cuff him, the aftershocks of the tase shocking you through the cuffs. With him incapacitated, the police are easily able to put him into custody.
After securing the suspect, you turn your attention to the duffel bag. It lays in the grass, moving slightly, with muffled cries emanating from within. You lean down next to and unzip it quickly. You gasp.
The End
15
You quickly dial 911. You alert the operator of the situation and they let you know that there are a dozen cruisers on their way.
Once they arrive (in silence), you and the other officers prepare to raid the warehouse. A SWAT team arrives and they lead the way, slipping inside silently. You and several other officers follow, all brandishing tasers. You quickly sweep the place, finding it deserted.
A few minutes later, an officer discovers security cam footage. The video shows the suspect carrying the duffel bag inside, where a small sedan is stashed. He tossed the duffel into the trunk, then sped away, leaving the van outside.
You are not promoted. In fact, a full-scale investigation is launched as to why you never called the police during the entire journey to the warehouse. Unfortunately, the press catches wind of it and you are let go from the department.
A month after this happens, a large box appears on your front doorstep with no return address. Opening it, a large sum of money is stacked in neat rows. A small note reads, “Thank you”. Clearly, the suspect thought you were helping him out.
The End
16
You wait until the man enters the warehouse, then you leave your car and follow him on foot. Being able to catch a kidnapper solo, and based on all of your own research and evidence? That would surely bring you the promotion you are looking for.
You unholster your taser and creep towards the same opening the man had entered in. Putting your back against the wall, you take a deep breath.
You burst inside, pointing the taser into the darkness. Before you can react, a coarse bag is pulled down over your head and body. Your arms are pushed down to your sides. You blindly pull the trigger on the taser, sending a pulse bouncing into the darkness. You are quickly disarmed and you open your mouth to scream for help. As you take a deep breath in, another cloth is pushed against your face. It reeks of chemicals, and you already know that it can’t be good. You hold your breath for as long as possible, but you eventually do have to breathe. You take a small breath in through your nose and the smell of chloroform overpowers you. Your lungs feel like they are about to burst, so you wrench away and take a deep breath. Your attacker follows you and you get a full blast of chloroform. You quickly black out, unable to break free from the bag over your body, nor the crushing grip the man has around your waist.

17
Your eyes slowly open. You blink a couple of times, groaning as you try to figure out where you are. The last thing you remember is a cloth pressed over your face, then blacking out…
You have a massive headache. You try to sit up but nothing is working. Why is that…?
As your headache fades away and your awareness increases, you realize the reason why nothing is working. Your hands are pinned firmly behind your back by something. You try wiggling them and a flash of pain flies up your arms. Your elbows are cinched together tightly, forcing your shoulders back and your chest down into the ground, which you notice is cold, rough concrete. Your hands are just as tightly tied. You try to feel around for the rope holding you, but your hands are stuck in tight fists from some sort of tape.
You groan and try to roll over, your elbows shouting in pain again. The room is dimly lit. You look down towards your legs and see that they are just as tightly bound together as your arms are. There is a single thin rope stretching from your ankles up to your chest, forcing you in a tight hogtie. You wiggle them a little, but you instantly realize it’s hopeless.
To your side is another person, bound just as you are. She is gagged with large swaths of tape around her head. You realize that you are also gagged, just not as tightly as she is. You have a wad of cloth in your mouth, with a tight cleave holding it in place.
“Mmmppphhh!”, you shout through your gag. The girl doesn’t respond: she is still passed out.
You look around the room for your kidnapper. You recall your days in the academy. “Always survey your surroundings, don’t let something sneak up on ya”, your instructor has said.
You are inside a warehouse. The walls are brick and the two doors on opposite sides of the building are old, rusted metal. There are windows way up high on the walls, much too high to see outside. To one side is a small room where the light filling the warehouse is coming from. The sound of a chair being pushed back precedes the same man from before exiting the little room, walking towards you slowly. He holds a duffel bag in one hand, the same type as he had before.
“Mmnnuuhhhh!”, you cry, struggling against your bonds, your shoulders already going numb from being pulled so far backwards. The man walks right up to you and pushes you back to the ground. You grunt as he pins your chest down to the floor and begins untying your gag. You try to get out from underneath him, but you are firmly pinned between his knee and the floor. You recognize the cloth that he pulls from your mouth as your own sock you were wearing earlier that even. You gag at the thought that it was in your mouth for however long it’s been.
You remain silent as the man stands back up and tosses your gag to the side. In a gruff voice, he asks, “Who are you? Why are you tracking me?”
If you tell him you are a cop, go to 21.
If you ignore the question and ask him who he is, go to 22.
If you stay silent, opting to say nothing, go to 23.
18
You slowly awaken, your head pounding with a headache. You think back to the moment in the bushes when you were attacked, trying to make sense of the situation. You are laying on a painfully-hard surface, probably concrete. You groan, realizing you’ve been gagged. You think back to your training in the academy and rub your face on the ground. Gags only work in the movies!
You are correct in this case. You manage to rub the cleave gag over your chin, then spit out the dirty-white cloth that was filling your mouth. To your horror, you recognize it as your own sock. You gag on the residual taste and spit onto the floor in front of you a couple of times to get the taste out.
You try to get up, but your arms don’t work. You flinch as you try to move them, bursts of pain flying up your arms. Your hands are pinned to your upper back, your elbows nearly touching. You imagine that someone looking at you would think you were trying to pray in reverse.
Your hands are wrapped in some sort of tape, pinning your fingers to your fists. You might be able to feel around for knots, but there is no way you could untie your body with your hands trapped in little balls.
You look down and see that your legs aren’t bound any easier. There are loops of frapped rope around your ankles, calves, knees and thighs. A missing sock from your left foot confirms your theory from before.
You hear a cough behind you and you whip around in panic, crying out as the rope pinches your arms. A man dressed in black is sitting in a chair, tilting it back against the wall. You look around at the small room you are in. It looks like a cellar, or an unfinished basement. The walls are also concrete, and there are a flight of stairs that lead up towards another floor against another wall. A single dim bulb hangs from a metal girder above you.
The man coughs again and you look back at him. “Who are you?” he asks. You stay silent, looking at him warily. The man asks again. “Who are you, and why were you waiting outside that house?”
If you tell him you’re a cop, go to 19.
If you refuse to answer him and stay silent, go to 20.
19
“I’m a detective, and I was looking out for people like you! People who kidnap people!” You struggle in your bonds to emphasize your point. “And you better believe there are a dozen cop cars speeding here now!” This is a blatant lie and you know it, but you hope the man doesn’t know that.
Unfortunately for you, the man just laughs. “Yeah, I figured. And I can assure you, there are not a ‘dozen cop cars speeding here now’ as you put it. You were alone, your car was alone, and even if they were following me they couldn’t have stayed on me for long. I made sure of it.” Your heart sinks as the man stands up. He called your bluff.
“I’m not gonna lie, I’ve always wanted a little cop lady for a while…” You cry out as he leans down and shoves your sock back into your mouth. This time, he takes a roll of duct tape out from behind his back and begins wrapping it around your head. You groan and try to pull away, but he grabs your hair and holds your head still. The tape tears at your neck as he adds more and more layers, securing your gag even more tightly.
When he finished, you realize that some gags do work outside the movies. There is no way you are rubbing this one off your face.
You groan into your gag as the man leans down and picks you up. You cry out and struggle against your bonds, but nothing you do can prevent him from carrying you off into the darkness, chuckling to himself all the while.
THE END
20
You stay silent, refusing to answer. The man watches you for a second, then sighs. “I kind of wanted to see what you would say. It’s a shame you won’t talk.” The man pauses for a moment, looking at you sideways. “Are you sure you don’t want to say anything?” You stare at the man warily, remaining silent.
“I guess you won’t complain about me gagging you then”, the man says, standing up and quickly stepping towards you.
You open your mouth to protest. “Wa- MMPH!!” The man shoves your sock back into your mouth. You twist your head away as the gross taste fills your mouth again, but you can’t prevent him from reaching down and pulling your other sock from your foot and adding that to the load. You gag as your mouth fills with cloth.
Before you can try to get the socks out of your mouth, the man pulls a roll of duct tape from behind his back. He begins to wrap your head in tape, layering the strips tightly. He wraps around your neck, never breaking the strip of tape. You whine into your gag, your eyes watering as the socks are pushed further and further in. This is a gag that will definitely work outside the movies. There is no chance you can rub the tape off with your chin now.
The man stops layering after using up nearly an entire roll of tape. You gasp through your nose, the taste of socks slowly working its way down your throat. Your eyes water as he pulls another thing from behind his back: it’s a leather panel gag. Before you can react, he begins strapping it in place.
This gag doesn’t have a red ball on the inside, it is just a panel. But the leather compresses your face from all sides as the harness loops over the top of your head, around your neck and behind your head. You moan as the panel on the front presses the tape and the socks even further in.
When he finishes with this, you can hardly function. You gasp for breath through your nose, taking quick, shallow breaths. A steady stream of tears are flowing as you grunt and groan as your socks are forced to the very back of your throat.
To your horror, your sense of sight suddenly leaves. You cry out in panic and shake your head as a heavy weight suddenly begins crushing your head, even more than the harness gag. The man pulls a thick leather hood down over your head and begins lacing up the backside. It crushes your head tightly, blocking out every sense. As it tightens, pads over your ears seal to your skin, making a soundproof bubble. Just minutes before you could talk and see and hear, but now all that has been taken away from you. You snort through your nose, the heavy smell of leather overpowering all your thoughts.
Your sense of gravity disappears as you are flung over the man’s back. You can’t hear or see anything, so you have no clue what is happening or what is coming. You know that nobody knows you are missing, and odds are, you won’t be found. As you are carried away, you realize that you are helpless. Truly helpless. And your current situation is not a good teller of what the future is going to hold.
THE END
21
“Yeah I’m a cop! Why else would I be watching that house?” You try to sound as in-charge as possible. Well, as possible as it is when you are tied up on the ground in front of him.
“Dammit! Are there more on their way?”
You keep your tone of gusto, trying to conceal your panic. “You better believe it! There’s an entire SWAT team converging on this place right now! I bet they’re already outside!”
“Dammit!” The man swears loudly and jumps up. You look after him as he runs towards the office.
“Yeah! They’re tracking me, too! Not my car, not my phone, me! So anywhere you take me, you’ll be tracked too!” You lie, hoping the man doesn’t take you with him, wherever he is running for. The man returns from the office with a large duffel bag. He quickly scoops the other girl, who is still asleep, into the bag, zipping it shut and tightening the straps on the outside.
“You better run!” You shout after him as he leans out the door, checking for cops. He glances back at you once and says, “Good luck!” before slamming the door behind him. You listen as his footsteps go running from the warehouse. The van starts outside, and squealing tires echo around the room. After a moment, it’s silent.
Go to 24.
22
“Who are you?” you say, ignoring his question. The man sighs.
“Well, I guess I won’t be getting anything out of you. And you won’t be leaving me for a while, so I don’t see why I can’t tell you who I am.” The man pauses, sitting down on the floor in front of you. You shift in your bonds as he begins.
“I get paid very well for what I do here”, he began. “I don’t particularly enjoy the whole rope tie thing as much as my clients do, but I don’t mind. The sultan in the Middle East will be very excited to learn that I managed to get two lovely little ladies this run. He likes multiple woman, you know?” he looks at you, as if expecting you to fully understand what he was talking about. You remain silent.
“Ah, well, I told him I can only get one at a time or it’s too risky. He won’t mind paying double or even triple for both of you.”
“Who’s your client?” you ask cautiously.
The man smiles. “Ah, if you knew you would never look at the leaders of your world the same. Besides, you’ll find out soon enough. I’ve made deliveries for presidents, kings, emperors… His highness is just the next on a long list of people you would be… well… horrified to find out are in the kidnapping business.”
The man stands up and approaches you, hogtied on the ground. “Speaking of which, I have to get you two packed up.”
Ten minutes later, the other girl, still passed out, had been tightly packed inside a silver suitcase. You know what is coming, and you begin to fight your bonds again, hoping that some weakness made it past the man’s expert eye. As he wheels a black suitcase towards you, you notice a green ribbon tied to the handle.
“I just got off the phone with the sultan. Sounds like you’ll be making a stop in a little hotel. One of his family wants to have a little bit of fun…”
You cry out as the man re-gags you with your socks. You struggle feebly in your bondage as he tightens the hogtie, then folds you at your waste so your knees are tucked up against your chest. He ties your knees to your neck, and the hogtie rope keeps your ankles pressed firmly against your butt. You toss and turn as much as possible, but you are truly completely helpless.
He sets you down inside the suitcase gently. You try to wiggle out of it, but you can hardly move, let alone while inside a box. You look up at the man as he pulls a leather collar out and tightens it down around your neck. A small box is attached to the collar with wires running from it. He touches one end of the wires, then tapes it to your gag, another strip of tape over the top of a dozen others.
He reaches down to your collar and flips a switch. “You better not say anything while you’re in the suitcase. Don’t want to trigger the collar…”. With that, the man presses a piece of tape over your eyes, blindfolding you. You feel the suitcase slam shut.
You remain in silence for a moment, fearing what will happen if you say anything. You tentatively let out a whine, and a small beep sounds from the collar. The microphone taped to your mouth picked up even the slightest little sound you made.
A violent shock is delivered to your neck. You cry out in pain, triggering the microphone again. It delivers an even more painful shock, making you buck inside the suitcase, screaming in pain. Only after the third shock are you able to control yourself from making more sounds.
You feel as the suitcase is lifted up into the air and swung around. You know there is nothing you can do. Your prison is compressing tightly in on you from every side, you can’t move, you can’t see, you can’t say anything… You are now completely at the mercy of your kidnapper.
THE END (continued from a different POV in the story ‘The Suitcase’)

You ignore the man’s questions. You remain silent, staring him down.
The man repeats his question, and you turn your head away, showing that you are pointedly ignoring him. The man sighs before becoming silent as well. He begins packing up his stuff, including the girl next to you. You long to ask him a question, but you stick to your decision to stay silent.
The man ignores you for a whole ten minutes as he packs up. After a while, he looks over at you and says, “I know you’re a cop by the way. That’s why I’m leaving you here.” You try to hide the look of shock on your face as he turns back to the girl. He has packed her inside a duffel bag where she lies, still unmoving. The chloroform must have been much more concentrated when he used it on her.
The man slings the duffel over his shoulder and looks around, double checking that he got everything. He walks towards the door you entered through and glances back at you. “Good luck!” he shouts, then leaves, slamming the door shut behind him. You hear the van start, then drive away. The vehicle slowly fades into the distance.
Go to 24.

You are alone. Suddenly, you realize your error. There’s nobody coming to get you. The man thought there were cops coming, so he didn’t bother untying you.
You flex your body. Your tight hogtie doesn’t budge. Your arms cry out in pain as you slowly make your way towards the door the man just left from. You try to reach up to the hogtie rope, but your hands are swathed in tape. After nearly 20 minutes of struggling, you finally make it to the door. Pressing against it with your body, it doesn’t budge. The heavy metal has been latched shut!
You look up at the handle, so far away. It’s a round knob. You wouldn’t be able to catch a stick or something against it, even if it were a flat handle. You cry out as you slowly make your way towards the office, hoping there’s something inside that can help you. Maybe a phone, or a pair of scissors!
After another 30 minutes of painful struggling, your arms feel bruised. Your hands have definitely lost feeling from the tightness of the rope, and your chest hurts from dragging itself across the concrete floor. But you made it to the office.
The door to the office is latched shut also. You cry out in frustration as you look around for something to try to open it. The round knob is so far away, just like the exit door.
You realize you are stuck. VERY stuck. The warehouse is abandoned, and you are stuck inside, with no one coming to free you. You pray that someone walking by will be able to hear your cries for help.
