Lawrence looked back to see Denise's Locke's husband stop dead in his tracks. His expression never changed, remaining bored as the man went through multiple emotions all at once, from shock to horror to anger to fear.

"Come in. See your wife." Lawrence said softly and slowly.

Her husband walked in, cautiously looking at Lawrence as he did, going up and down Lawrence's body. He could tell, Lawrence, knew, he knew that this body below his neck was not his. Not that he was trying to hide it, but that realization made the next one even more impactful.

He was finally able to get a look at his wife and any semblance of strength faded. He did nothing but stare, seeing her body in that bed, and seeing above her shoulders the head of another old man!. He could see the bandages that covered where her body ended and the man's head began, a man that was even more elderly than Lawrence!

"Your wife is feeling much better from her neck surgery. Unfortunately, they ran into some complications, so they had to amputate. Don't worry, Barry here was more than happy to be a donor head for your wife."

At this, Barry spoke up, having stayed silent the entire time.

"Seems to be a pattern around here. A woman comes in for a headache or neck pain, and you can figure out the rest, like my friend Lawrence here as well. She had, what, a headache, right?"

"Indeed." Lawrence said. "Don't worry, I can assure you, having had the same procedure, that the rest of your wife will make a full recovery!"
