"Yes, Derrick?" Professor Holland asked.

"So, we need to talk about all of this."

"Yes, I guess that would make sense to do so. You start first. What would you like to discuss first?"

"I guess I know from my work here the how, or at least enough."

"Yes, I would hope you are familiar with the science behind this procedure. You did help with the healing portion of this research."

"Yeah. Anyway, I know all of that. I know the how, I know that you can do it, I know that I was injured..."

"Severely injured." Professor Holland pointed out. "Derrick, you would be dead now if it wasn't for us. Surely you agree with that statement?"

"Yeah, I do, and I get that. I get all of that. The only thing I don't get is this body."

"We had to find a compatible one, as you know."

"I also know that there was another one, a male one that was just as compatible."

At that, the Professor's demeanor changed. His expression now became much more serious.

"How do you know that?"

"We had to do compatibility tests right before I got injured, remember? On of the brain-dead donors we got through the hospital. I know this for sure."

"Derrick, I..."

"Professor, I'm not angry. I know why. Doing a transplant like this, with a big difference between head and body, it does really show it can be done. I get that."

"Then why are you asking, if you knew all of this? Why discuss it?" The professor asked. His overly serious tone was gone, and now he was just confused.

"I just wanted you to know I knew. Now, professor, I've got to go. I'll see you Monday."

Derrick got up and walked out of the professor's office and as he walked down the hall, Professor Holland watched him walk away. He smiled as he saw him walk, seeing those legs, and that ass. He decided then and there that Derrick was never going to know the truth. He was never going to know the real reason his head transplanted to such a body. Never.
