The men looked at Brian as he walked past them, setting down their drink orders, asking if they needed anything else. Most reacted with surprise, some were unsure what to do, and even a couple seemed quite put off by him.

He could say he didn't blame them, but that would be a lie. Still, he had to keep doing his job despite their reactions, so he did as best as he could and kept up with their drinks.

Once he took his last order and his tray was empty he walked away, feeling their stares. He would say their stares at his back, but no, most of their stares were either at his ass and legs or at his neck. At least with the legs and ass he could sort of get that. It was still uncomfortable, but what was worse were the ones at his neck and the obvious stitches.

He normally wore a black ribbon around his neck, but today for someone reason he couldn't find it, not that it would have made much of a difference. It was plain for all to see that his head and his body did not match one bit; the stitches just made what had happened all the more clear.

As he carried the tray to the bar to get these orders filled and he caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror, he did have to admit it was a bit jarring but still, he was tired of the looks. The thing is, it was between being a part of that head transplant research or not be able to afford grad school, and he was going to attend grad school.

As the drinks were put on the tray, he shrugged to himself. What a way to pay for an education.
