A dark caption.

"So, this was your choice?" Dr. Manning asked, a bit confused. "I would have expected different."

"Why?" The man asked softly, looking back at the middle-aged doctor. "Is it about the nurse?"

"No. She was on her way out anyway. Her not being seen around here anymore will not raise any suspicion. No, it is more of why choose her body to have your head transplanted onto. It can't be for discretion, you're in fact much more noticeable now with your obviously male head stitched onto a woman's body. So why?"

The man looked at the doctor, then looked back at the surgical tools in front of him.

"You have your money." He said, picking up a pair of forceps and examining it. "Why ask at all?"

"Well, my nurse's body is below your neck..."

"And if you cared about that you would have never done this. You agreed to do this to her. You knew what her fate was. My reasons are mine and mine alone. Now, is there anything you actually need from me?"

The doctor stopped at that. No anger, no offense, just calm and precise words. Somehow, that was more chilling than anything else.

"No, not you are free to leave when you wish." Dr. Manning said.

The man smiled and walked out of the operating room, a slight smile on his face as he felt the dress brush against his legs as he moved. His reasons were his, not for this doctor to know. Besides, if he knew the true reason he choose this body... no point in wondering about what ifs, is there? It was done and he was free to leave. No reason to dwell.
