Dr. Iverson walked through the lab, past the rows of tables and counters that some of the more laborious chemical experiments required. A feminine hand held documents in it and when those heels clicked to a stop in front of an open desk those documents were set down.
A middle-aged, amused man looked up at the seemingly younger woman and smiled.
"We got the go-ahead, Dave?" He asked.
"We did, Mark. We start on it tomorrow unless you need some time to get things in order first."
"I had Miss Jones and Mr. Robbins do it already. We're ready when you are. So, they finally came around and realized how valuable that chemical was?"
"Seeing is believing, once they found out it was used to help connect my brain to this body." Dr. Redding said. "Plus, those other experiments."
"Good, I'm glad they're finally realizing it. Too bad they didn't use it on your forehead as well. Of course I know why, but still."
"I'm glad they didn't." Dr. Redding said, putting a feminine hand up to his pretty forehead. "They can't dispute it when they see the staples and later the scar. It lets everyone know that this really did happen to me."
"Yeah, that does end some debates pretty fast, I imagine." He laughed, then got a bit more serious. "I'm still not sure why you did this, and why you chose that body."
"She was compatible, no brain activity, and a Jane Doe."
"There was a John Doe that would have worked just as well."
"Was there?" A slight smile came across that pretty face. "Oh well, I guess every girl has some secrets. Anyway, for the project..."
"We start bright and early tomorrow. I can't wait."
"Neither can I, my friend. Get some rest. We're not going to get a lot of that in the coming weeks."
