A dark caption.
"Betty!" Charles said as he walked into the kitchen. "What are you doing?"
"Waiting here for you, dear." She said, looking over at him, a pink rose in her hand. "I thought I'd surprise you by getting dressed up nice."
"Oh, uh, yes! So, the occasion is?" He asked, sure he had forgotten something.
"Oh nothing like that. I don't have to have a reason to surprise my husband in a nice dress, do I? Does a wife have to have a reason to look good for her man?"
"No, you're right, it's just you've, you've always been a bit more plain. Not much uh..."
"Flair? Style?" Her heels shifted and she was no longer leaning against the table, her posture straight as an arrow as she smiled and slowly and gracefully walked over to him. "I think you deserve a bit better than plain, don't you?"
"I always thought so."
"So do I now." She said with a sly grin.
"Wow, what has, what..."
"Shhh," she said with a coy look. "Call it a change of perspective."
Anthony walked to burst out laughing, seeing this guy turn to jelly in front of him. All it took was this for him to not notice the damn staples in Betty's forehead? The ones that were now holding her former skull in place as it healed, permanently sealing Anthony's sleazy and seedy brain in this lovely body. Well, he thought as he decided what he was going to do next, whatever it was, he didn't doubt Charles would enjoy it. He seemed to be lapping everything else up!
