A dark caption.

Well, she was an interesting one, Cedric thought as he stood there, her hands on her shapely hips, posing in the mirror of the hotel room she was in. His look was a strange one, a mix of dark joy, fascination, lust, and pride at his twisted accomplishment.

He put a leg forward, feeling the nylon on his leg as he did, brushing aside the dress to show off a bit more for an audience of one, himself. His smile grew more amused, and he stood up straight, giving what used to be a bride's body a quick feel before looking again at the mirror.

That incision would be easy to hide, he realized. He could use some make-up, or even a fashionable headband or a low-brimmed hat until it healed better, then some plastic surgery to erase it completely. It would be like it never happened.

He was no expert, but he knew this wasn't a costume. This was a real wedding dress but here she she, in this hotel, alone, a room booked for one. So, he thought, she skipped the wedding, most likely. What, cold feet, had second thoughts?

Well, he thought, whatever she was left had to have been better than what she found, her coming here, right to the room that he had rigged to discreetly sedate someone. From there she was taken to a secret room in the basement, the one where his friend had been perfecting his craft, a dark and strange medical craft...

Now she was nothing more than a brain being kept alive in a jar, and he had gotten everything else. He would enjoy being the new blushing not-bride. Hell, he thought, maybe it wasn't too late, maybe he could call her soon-to-be up and still get married! Wouldn't that be a dark end to this twisted fairytale wedding!
