A dark caption.

"Who, Roger?" Dr. Tanner said with a laugh. "Are you serious, Max?"

"I am fucking serious." Max said, looking back at Dr. Tanner. "Do you think he'll realize that I'm not his wife? That she's, wait, what did you do with her brain? Do I want to know?"

"I mean, it's not in her head, so she's dead. Of course, no one realizes that. Speaking of realizing, no, he's not going to know. You did your homework on her. Still not sure why you want to be her, but I don't care enough to ask."

"I have my reasons." Max said. "What about hiding all of this on my forehead?"

"Oh, that's easy, I have some make-up that's matched to her skin color. You should be fine with that. It's not easy to get off and it's waterproof, so you should be fine. And if not? Well, you have a sob story ready for that, don't you?"

"I can think of one." Max said, hands on feminine hips. "What about on your end?"

"You paid me already and I do not feel like explaining this to anyone. I'm not really even sure how. Answer one question, though, is this business or pleasure?"

"Both." Max said, a small smile forming on that pretty face. "A nice break from my former life and his job as a manager at that chemical company, there's a lot of opportunity to make some money. A lot. So, if there's not anything else, I'd like to head on out, put some of that stuff on my forehead, and go my my 'hubby'. Bye."

Max walked out of the door and Dr. Tanner heard the door to his practice close. He smiled darkly, making sure Max had left. He knew that that there was more than a criminal profit motive at play here, but he left that unsaid. Also left unsaid was another interesting turn.

Vivian was not dead. Her brain was alive, kept alive in a jar attached to machines. All he now needed was the right body for her. Why? He smiled. Oh, if everyone only knew...
