A bit dark.
Hank stood leaning against the counter, taking a sip of his lemonade mixed with a bit of vodka. He smiled, drinking it through the straw, an arm leaning against the counter as he looked around the kitchen and then looked down.
He saw that pink dress, those while heels, and those tan stockings, all the marker of the feminine, womanly housewife, that paragon of virtue and domestic tranquility, the maker of meals, the raiser of children, that shining example of what a true woman should be.
He then laughed as he took another sip, this one longer, arching his head back as he laughed. So, what did that make him? At least most of him was a housewife at the start of this morning, the rest of him though was a conman and thief, a grifter who needed a way to avoid the his fate behind bars. His friend said he'd help him, that he'd give him a way to to disappear. He said no one would see his ass again around here.
He half-wondered at the time if that meant that his friend going to collect on him with some dangerous people, but no, it somehow meant that his ass would literally never been seen again. His head, though, was still very much visible and immediately obvious on such a feminine body. He wondered if there was a plan for how his face looked, but so far his friend hadn't been too interested in giving out those details.
He did have to admit, though, that he kind of liked this. There was something different about this, a feeling he hadn't ever really felt. He couldn't describe it, but he did kind of like it.
His mind, though, returned to reality. He wondered whose body this was. He hoped she was brain-dead or they had made a deal with her for her to get a new body, but he wasn't that optimistic and he didn't ask. He was a crook and a con but he wasn't violent and saw no point in physically hurting others. He also wondered where he was, seeing that he was in the middle of some cookie-cutter neighborhood. He dared not venture out. Not like this.
He heard a knock and his friend's voice, then heard the door unlock and his friend come in the back room.
"So," his friend said with a smile. "I have a plan, but it's a weird one."
At that, he sighed. How much weirder could it get than this?
"Okay," he said, taking a sip of his alcoholic lemonade. "What is it?"
