Edmund still could not understand how this all came about. He had been on a date with a very attractive woman. They had agreed to a date near the beach at a restaurant with a view and it seemed to be going very well. He loved her personality, forward and even a bit bold. A lot of men didn't like that but he did, and her personality was even reflected in her outfit. Who wearing stockings with shorts, he wondered, but he had to admit it did have a certain sexiness to it, a certain flaunting of convention. Despite a look or two from people, they didn't seem to care one bit what people thought of it
As the date went on and they left the restaurant, she wanted to go to a shop nearby. A clothing shop to look at some summer dresses. Maybe she'd even model a few for him! How could he say no?
Her and him walked inside and she immediately grabbed two dresses and went to the changing rooms. He stood outside for a few minutes, then when she didn't emerge, he asked if she was all right. No answer. He waited a minute more and asked again. Nothing. Finally, he grabbed someone at the shop, who seemed very reluctant to go in there.
For the last time he called, and, when not hearing a thing, he decided to take matters in his own hands. He didn't want to do this, but something seemed wrong and he wanted to be sure she was okay.
He opened the door and he was surprised when she wasn't there! He looked around and saw nothing, then heard the changing room door lock. He tried it and as he pulled he heard a sound behind him. The backwall had opened up, revealing a hallway and a man who jabbed a syringe into his neck!
Now here he was, walking away from that place, his head now attached to her body and her head now attached to his! She was in his car, waiting for him, amused at how long he took to walk in heels. How she was so calm was beyond him. In fact, she was more than calm, she seemed content, almost happy. Did she..? Maybe, he thought as he got into the car, sitting down, looking down at his new body and then over at her with his male body dressed casually.
She grinned as she looked at him.
"Eh," she said with a shrug. "Could be much worse."
