A dark caption.
"I see you're back!" Victor said as he saw his wife come up to the cabin. "What were you doing out for so long? I was starting to get a little worried!"
"Oh, you should have been far sooner!" She said, a mocking tone in her voice.
"What?" He asked, then he froze, and it wasn't due to the cold. As she got closer, he could see it more clearly, a detail he hadn't noticed immediately, how he wasn't sure. Staples in her forehead and a dark incision, one that he knew as a doctor cut deep.
"Beverly?" He asked, his voice unsure as he took a step back.
"Oh, don't want to come give you wife a hug? Warm her up?"
"Who are you?" He asked softly. She laughed as she came closer to him, gloved against rubbing against her body.
"Oh, someone she didn't expect to see! You didn't know this, but there's this little operation, not too far, just far enough for your wife to find it and she came walked in at the wrong time. Well, you can hear her voice but it sure as hell isn't her talking anymore."
At that, he started to shake, not sure what he should do. He wanted to run, wanted to fight, but he doubted that would do any good.
"Oh, you're scared, aren't you? Don't worry, my dear," she said, taking out a tranquilizer gun and putting a dart in his neck. He looked at her with shock as she started to feel faint and soon was on his knees, feeling the snow soak his jeans as he looked up as she walked over, laughing.
"That fear will be over very soon. I can assure you of that."
