Hector walked quickly into the house, his heeled boots crunching in the snow as he walked, a bit smile on his face. He had been out of physical rehab for only an hour or so now and was eager to get home.

He walked inside quickly to see his wife, who turned and smiled warmly, embracing him as he got to her. It was strange, him hugging her now that he was three inches shorter, twenty-years younger, and curvy in places he definitely wasn't curvy in before. Her grip in the hug was intense for him, and she called to their son, who was in town for the holidays. He came down and immediately greeted his father.

Through all of it, no one really mentioned his new body. They didn't need to, it had been weeks since the accident and the surgery and all of them had been with him every step of the way as much as they could be. What was important now was not the head transplant or his new womanly form but that he was home and the holidays would now be complete. That was all that mattered.
