A dark caption.
"I'm not Lydia Stern, I'm Trevor McDaniel!"
"Mrs. Stern!"
"Stop calling me that! I know who I am! You can see the staples on my head, they did something to me, who I don't..."
"I'll take over from here, nurse." Vincent Stern said as he walked slowly over. "Don't worry, I'll explain it all to her. If I need you, I will let you know."
"Okay." The nurse said, just happy to be away from the crazy lady. Head injuries are always the mentally hardest to deal with.
As she walked away, Vincent turned to "Lydia" and smiled.
"Hello, Trevor." He said with barely concealed satisfaction.
"Wait, you know?" Trevor said, shocked.
"Of course I knew, you think I'm really that stupid? No, I let you two idiots think I didn't to give me time. Revenge isn't always easy, but when you're a neurosurgeon you have some options that aren't always available."
"Wait, where is Lydia? Does she..."
"Nope, and by the way, 'Trevor' died three hours ago. No emergency contact information, I guess we'll have to handle the body ourselves. Wouldn't want anyone poking around the fact that you don't have a brain in your head, right?"
"What, why? Why did you kill her?"
"For all the world is concerned, my wife is right beside me talking to me! But, since I doubt that will satisfy you and we really should leave and hopefully this will get you moving, that was the price of the affair. Had she just divorced, that would have been vastly different. Now, as for you, I feel you owe me a bit. So, 'Lydia', why don't we talk more about this in the car and how you're going to be a good, little wife from now on? I don't think I have to explain the other options."
