This takes a turn. It's not dark in the strictest sense.
"That's, that's Tanya's body!" Michelle said with shock.
"Very astute." Mr. Taylor said. "It was the price for failure. Don't worry, she's not dead, but she does have to spend the next two months with her pretty head attached to my body. She's still expected to get her work done and in fact we expect more of her. She needs to prove herself if she wants her body back."
"Why?" Michelle asked, barely able to.
"It sends a hell of a message, doesn't it? I can see the horror and fear in your face. If you know the consequences for failing at this point are this severe, I think you're going to have a strong motivation for success. Now, off you go, miss. You wouldn't want someone who looks like me having your body for a while, would you?"
She shook her head, and shaking, got up and left. He smiled as she left the office through the main door. Through a side door, an tall, muscular figure dressed in a stunning charcoal grey business suit sat down at the chair Michelle had sat in just a moment prior.
Tanya looked at him with a very disapproving look.
"You're fucking insane, you know that?"
"Look, if it gets a day or two of actually good performance out of her I'm fine with it. It's not like she responds to anything else. Besides she'll learn the truth soon enough, but a three-way surgery so we could get better bodies and a domestic abuser is neutralized isn't as motivating. I'm not disputing my madness, only that it does have it's uses."
"Fair." Tanya said. "Anyway, one of the execs wants to talk to you. I doubt it's about work. He seemed very uninterested in our performance and very interested in your legs."
"Ah, a chance to ah, 'improve multi-departmental cooperation'. If you will see yourself out, I will see to him at once!"
