"It was you two, right?" Jack said as he looked at the two doctors in front of him. "You two that did this bullshit?"
"Well, Mr. Wright, I can see you're upset. We don't we talk in my office..." Dr. Tom Deckard started but was cut off.
"No, fuck that, we'll talk right here and now, and not in a spot where you can keep it off the damn radar. So, as I was asking, you two did this, correct? Remember I already know the answer to that question."
"Yes!" Dr. Samantha Chase said. "Yes, we did do this."
"No, Doctor, we shouldn't confirm that here in..."
"God, Tom!" She snapped. "You really are going to pull this right now aren't you?"
"I don't know what you mean by that...."
"Everyone knows what was meant by that." Jack said, a slight smile on a pale, pretty face. "And, thank you, doc, for having more guts than him."
"Look, Mr. Wright, Jack, this should never have happened. I know that's way too little, too late, but his team, they didn't believe the nurse when she said it was the wrong rooms. I went to check, but by the time I got back they had started and it was too dangerous to stop then."
"We went through the proper and set procedures..."
"Obviously not." Jack pointed out, pointing at the doctor as he choose his next words carefully. "I bet if I ask, they'll tell me otherwise. It seems like you wanted to do this no matter who you actually used. Well, now that the woman with my body is currently bawling her eyes out a few room away, maybe you'd like to go tell her that you followed 'procedures'. Oh, and you know this already since you had us both on operating tables for hours, but this morning I was six-foot seven and two-hundred and fifty-seven pound, all muscle, and her husband, who is also in there with her, is only slightly smaller."
"So, Tom, was it? I suggest you go in there and tell them exactly what you told me, exactly how you told me. This doctor and I will be here waiting."
Dr. Deckard just looked at Jack, not wanting to move, not wanting to speak now. Dr. Chase was doing her best to hold back a dark smile, but she was failing at the effort.
"Go, go on. I'm sure that waiting will only make them happier. Come on, go meet the other half of your botched experiment."
He stood there, then as if a statue come to life, he slowly started to move toward the room. Both Jack and Dr. Chase watched him with satisfaction. This was going to be good, and they both knew it.
