Lori walked into what she thought was going to be a normal day at the lab. She had gone past the keycard-protected door, gone past the security station (a holdover from years ago, rarely manned now) and was about to enter the main office area for her project.

She opened the door and dropped everything she was carrying, putting her hands to her mouth in shock, her eyes wide with surprise. There was the smiling face of her boss Victor, but that sure as hell wasn't his body! She barely even noticed the rest of the stuff, her mind very briefly seeing that it looked vaguely mad-scientist-like, her focus primarily on him and what was obviously a woman's body below his neck!

"Oh fuck! Victor, what did..."

"It worked!" He exclaimed. "That new prototype! It works!"
"Yeah, I can see that!" She said, still staring at him. "Uh, whose body is that?"

"Oh, yes, right." He said, standing a bit more dignified now that he had surprised her. "You know intern, Sally? Don't worry, she agreed to it, and if it works this way, we should have no problem reversing it in a few weeks but our project is a success, Lori! We've done it!"

"About all of this here..."

"Oh, an idea of hers. Given how this would look anyway, we thought maybe a dry presentation was not quite the method to show our success. A bit much in hindsight, I think, but oh well. Anyway, welcome to work, and I'll give a full briefing on this at eleven. See you then."

Lori grabbed her stuff and found her desk, sitting in it as she heard the next person come in and gasp in shock. All she could do was shake her head. She had seen some weird things here. This... she wondered if weird even did this justice.
