So, he had volunteered to have it done to him to show it was safe and effective. He had a slow-acting disease that, if a transplant wasn't done, would in a decade or so end his life. This was a perfect way to kill two birds with one stone.

Now, it wasn't just a Frankenstein mad scientist idea, it was a life-saving surgery that was shown to be effective and safe. He smoothed out his outfit and went to go talk to people. He had a lot to do, and he'd need their help to do it.
