Edward was found like this, sitting in a storage room, his body below his neck very much not his own. The couple that found him wondered at how long he had been there, just sitting, and more than that, they wondered what had happened. Whose body was this? Where was her head, and where was his body.

He didn't know, telling them he was just a janitor here, that he had started his shift doing his cleaning when he found a door that was normally locked in the basement now unlocked. He walked in, he claimed, and when he came to he was like this. He had staggered to this room and just sat down, and had been here ever since.

At first, they didn't believe him until an employee at this place was found and sure enough he did work there. As for his new body under his neck, a guest had been seen dressed like that, but no one seemed to know a thing about her.

As they talked, Edward finally stood up, feeling at the necklace around his neck, and then slowly walked away, their attention so focused on their discussion that the topic of their discussion was ignored. He had no idea what he was going to do about all of this. He didn't want this body, he didn't want this woman to have his body. All he could think to do was go home, and go home he did.
