"Oh my god!" Jesse said as he saw his wife's body turn to reveal it was very much not his wife! It was some guy... wait, that was her dress, that is her shape, he'd know those legs and tits from a mile away. All of that was what she was wearing when she and him got separated walking past that old factory.

"What the fuck is going on?" He said, recoiling back in shock as the man's face grinned, putting hands on womanly hips. Her hips.

"Congrats, pal. You found about ninety percent of your wife. The rest, she's gone?"

"She's, oh god, she's dead?"

"What? No!" The man said, realizing his mistake. "You, sorry about that, I didn't mean to give you that impression. No, she left here. I saw her grabbing around, uh, it as she was leaving. We've all that look before."
"What?" Jesse asked, his face shocked. "She's going to go..."

He couldn't finish the words. The man shrugged and slowly started to walk towards Jesse.

"That's what it looked like to me. Best guess, listen and look for shoe prints in the dust around here. You'll find her eventually, I think. I don't think she was in a waiting mood."

When the man finished speaking, Jesse started looking around, his movements quiet. Off in the distance was a low noise. Maybe a pipe, maybe a moan. He went off for it right away, seeing if he could see any shoe prints in the dust on the ground.

The man just shrugged and walked to a nearby doorway and walked up a set of stairs, his heels loud on the wooden steps. He knew that guy would find his wife, he hadn't lied about any of it. Strange, he thought, that she would do that first and that he was so finding her before she did that!

He had just gone through a mad scientist head transplant and yet, somehow, he felt like he was the most normal of the three. People are weird.
