The camerawoman had finally set up and she gave the five second sign. In an experienced motion, the microphone was up and a look of serious intent and pose was displayed just as the camera went live.
"Hello, and we are live here at Jacob Chance Memorial Hospital to report on a breaking news. Earlier today, it was revealed that this hospital was engaged in unethical medical practices. Sources tell us that this hospital was the location of at least ten illegal brain transplant surgeries. In each case, the patients were admitted for minor ailments or called in under misleading pretenses and in each case the victim had their brain removed and placed into the body of another victim and vice versa. In each case the victims survived with, as of this report, no medical complications. The hospital administration has yet to answer our requests for comment. We hope to hear from them after this broadcast and be able to bring you a full report on the eleven o'clock news. As always, this is Miles Dunning, reporting.
"We're out." Suzie said as she cut. Miles put his microphone down, smiling as he did, seeing the approving grin on Suzie face.
"How'd I do?" Miles asked.
"For your first live reporting in heels, I'd say pretty fucking well!" Suzie laughed. She looked around for a place to set her camera and once she found a decent spot, she set it down and moved her shoulder around a little.
"Think this will light a fire underneath them?" Miles asked.
"Between the whole medical mess on your forehead, your professional demeanor, the neutral-but-blunt delivery, and your sign-off, yeah Miles, I think they'll want to talk now!"
