"Oh shit!" Grace said with a squeal of delight when she came into the room and saw her brother. "Jimmy! Oh god, you look great!"
She ran over to him, giving him a big hug. He hugged her back, but it was a bit weaker, almost unsure.
"You okay?" She said, pulling back a little.
"Yeah!" He said with a smile. "I'm just not used to you hugging me harder than I can hug you."
"Oh shit, yeah!" She laughed. "Sorry!"
"It's okay!" He said with a smile. "That's good, though. I admit, I was a bit worried..."
"No." She said, her expression more serious now. "No, you shouldn't have been. Come on, you know I'd love you no matter what, bro!"
"I know!" He said, a sheepish smile on his face. "Just, you know, worry is worry."
"Yeah, I guess I get that." She said, releasing him from her grip and folding her arms, a big grin on her face. "My god, you look so good! I love that dress and those boots! You're adapting to your new body like... okay, I don't know exactly how. You're doing good, point is."
"Thanks!" He said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "So, now that I've seen that, I think you're really excited for this week. More than even me."
"Bro, if this is how you are now, trust me, this week is going to be awesome."
At that, all of his tension, his fear, all of it evaporated in an instant. He had feared how this would go, and to his delight this was going exactly as he hoped it would.
