"This is so damn ridiculous." Marvin said, looking over at the smiling woman.
"You do look very cute, though." Penelope said with a laugh. "But, I really doubt you feel that way, do you?"
"Hell no. So, can we?"
"Yeah, let's go inside." She said as he stood up, handing her his teacup and immediately taking his gloves off. They walked to the door of the house and he quickly opened it and got inside, not waiting for her. She close the door after she came in and went to dispose of the tea and heard him in the bathroom. He sounded like he was changing.
"Hate it that much, huh?" She asked. "Damn."
"Yeah, but you knew that already, didn't you?"
"Yeah, I did." She said with a sigh. "Still, worth at least seeing how you felt about it."
"We couldn't have done that without the fake tea party?" He asked through the door.
"Not in the same way." She wasn't lying.
She heard him scoff and laugh a little, then she saw the door open. It was a simple blue sweater dress, the same pantyhose, and a part of flat brown ankle boots.
"Well, we for sure now." He said with a bit of a smile as he handed her the pink dress and the gloves. "Feminine I can do, dainty, not so much!"
