"Doctor..." Heidi said as she stopped what she was doing and stared. She looked at his face, that expression of confidence and a trace of smugness and then looked below his face, down to the stitches joining his head and neck to, well she didn't know who, only that it sure as hell wasn't his body!
"Oh, Heidi, I thought you had gone home already. A pity that." He said, smoothing out his red dress and looking himself up and down, putting a foot out to examine one of the red high heels he was now wearing. "Like this look? I'm not sure I'm in love with the pantyhose, but I do like this dress-"
"What the fuck did you do?" She said, her eyes wide, her voice stammering. "You didn't kill some poor woman and steal her body, did YOU?"
He, at that, stopped himself.
"Oh, well, about that, see, now that you've seen me, I'm going to have to do something. Something I didn't want to do."
He walked back into the other lab room and just just stood there. A mix of fear and the fact that the door he just went through offered a perfect line of sight to her exit kept her away from it. He then came back in, his look a bit more upset, his face with a hint of anger.
In his hand was a stack of money.
"So, this is fifteen grand right here. Ten more tomorrow. All I ask is you wait until noon tomorrow before you speak of this. Deal?"
She thought she had little choice. She grabbed it and got out of there.
He sighed and then walked back into the white lab room, seeing his headless body attached to machines keeping it alive and the woman's living head attached to a small portable machine keeping her head alive.
"I heard. Ten thousand?" She asked in a mechanical voice that came from the machine's speaker.
"Better that than she call the police before that donor body arrives. Soon, you'll be a two meter tall, a hundred and twenty kilo muscular man." He said excitedly.
She smiled as he spoke.
"I can hardly wait."
