This one is pretty damn dark.
Mrs. Davison had been an excellent performer at her job but even a great performer could still have issues. She and the bosses did not see eye-to-eye on a new project. She questioned the ethics of it, concluding accurately that they would do their best to maximize profits at the expense of any and all scruples and legality.
Had she been more subtle they might have let it slide. Had she been more bold they could have done nothing without attracting attention. The thing was that she was right in the sweet spot where she was enough of a problem to need to handle and they could do so with much issues.
They found an employee of hers, a seemingly pliable man by the name of Sawyer who agreed to be a part of this. All they needed to do was call her to research for yet another meeting and "misdirect" her to the location of the meeting.
Later that day Sawyer strutted confidently Mrs. Davison's office, Mrs. Davison's heels clicking with each step. He saw a mirror she had and he looked at it, very happy with what he saw in front of him. With the right care the incision would be nearly invisible and with a bit of practice he'd have all of Mrs. Davison's mannerisms be second nature to him.
It was foolish of her, he thought, to have done with she did. Quite a poor calculation on her part, going against a company that could literally remove your brain and replace it with another. It was very good for him though. He now had her job, her body, and soon her life, and she, well, what do exactly they do with what's left after a surgery!
