A dark caption.
Emily was pissed as she walked through the woods. Each step only added to her annoyance, these heels completely impractical in a dirt path. She thought about taking them off but realized quickly just how much worse of an idea that actually was and opted to keep them on.
Her friends were idiots, she had concluded. This had been their idea. They had decided that it would be funny to say they were all going out to a cool new restaurant and instead dump her and her other friend off at separate points in this woods, telling her they'd pick her up at the end of the trail.
Lucky for Emily it wasn't a long trail, though longer than her friend Jack. He was probably already back at their car, probably just as pissed as she was feeling, but it would be at least twenty or thirty more minutes before she was. She had been on this trail before years ago so she knew about how long she had to go.
As she walked, see noticed something that wasn't there before, a small prefabricated structure. It looked like a large shed. She shrugged and kept going. She saw it was locked and she saw nothing to indicate that anyone had been around it in the last few days.
So when she heard the door open and turned to see a large, muscular man running towards her, it took her by complete surprise. She tried to run but it was no use. He was too fast and there was no chance of her getting away or hiding in time.
About an hour later, Emily's friends were waiting for her to arrive, now realizing just how foolish their harmless prank could be. She should have gotten to them by now. Something, they felt, was wrong.
Before they started to go look for her, they saw her, running down the path. Their calls went unheeded as she ran and then they saw it, the incision, the staples on her forehead. Something bad had happened. As two friends tried to flag her down, the other two moved quickly down the path. Within a few minutes, out of breath, they were at the shed, now abandoned and open.
The one friend vomited when he looked in and the other just stared in horror. Inside was a mad on what looked like an operating table, his skull cut open and his brain gone. Sitting on a tray next to another operating table was a brain, lifeless on that cold steel.
Neither of them investigated further and were moving quickly back to their car. As they did, they got a call.
"Guys, Emily says she's not Emily, that she's some dude and that her brain..."
"It's true." It was all he could say.
