A dark caption.
"Who are you?" The man asked the person in front of him.
"Oh, about nine-tenths of your wife. The rest of me, my head, do you even care? By the way, she wasn't able to get dinner ready for you. I know she wanted to make something special for you."
"What?" The man asked. "Dinner, what, who the hell are you? And, that's can't be my wife's body, she's..."
"She's what? Doesn't this body look familiar to you?"
The man stopped talking and just stared, anger turning slowly into cold fear.
"What happened to her?"
"She had the same fate as me. The person who did this, he took her away, I don't know where. I heard him mention a debt and that was it. I never saw his face, and before you ask, I have no idea what this debt is. I was just walking past your house when I heard a commotion. If you don't know what's going on, I guess my chances of getting my old body back are almost none. Not that I want that liver-damaged wreck back, but still, it was mine."
The man just stood there as the man with his wife's body just stood up and walked away. He, despite every instinct he had, believed that this man was telling him the truth. If so, what debt? What was she involved with? And was this strange man his only link now to his wife?
Henry, for his part, cared little about the issues the man and his wife were having. All he knew was that he now had a nice, healthy body and he'd celebrate with a bottle of cheap vodka. He had a new healthy liver and he might as well break it in.
