Arthur really didn't expect any of this. He had gone to the carnival expecting to have a bit of fun. He'd eat some food, browse the stalls for anything to buy and see a few of the shows that seemed to be the staple of any place like this.

His favorite were the magic shows and this one was large enough to actually have a several. The first was a psychic show. He knew it was all fake and to the credit of the psychic they didn't try to pretend otherwise. Somehow, it made for a more interesting show, her pointing out the tricks of the trade and how she and others operated.

The next was a more traditional show, one involving a magician and two of his sexy assistants. It was pretty standard fare and got to the trick where they put one assistant in a box, shove two blades in, and move the parts around. To his delight they opened it for volunteers to do it and he raised his hand. He was selected and came down to the stage. He was always curious to see how this worked and he was told he'd be doing a trick that involved him swapping heads with the one assistant. He got in the one box and the assistant in the other...

...And quickly found out that this one was not a trick, nor was it magic. He didn't know what technology the man used, but it had to be very advanced, switching their heads around and putting her head on his body and his head on her body. He followed the instructions given and did a few basic things and soon he was backstage.

It was then that they blackmailed him, refusing to switch him back unless he paid. He quickly realized they had mistaken him for someone else, someone who actually had money. Arthur then did the only thing he could do.

He left. He smiled as he left the tent, the magician and their assistants realizing they had badly miscalculated. He felt no guilt at this. He had just gone in for a magic show and they were the ones who had initiated all of this. Too bad for her, but she could figure out how to deal with having his elderly body from now on, he was going to go home and enjoy his new body the rest of the night!
