Isabella grumbled to herself as she walked toward the house. She had overshot it and figured this would be faster than her trying to back up.
She had joined a carpool to her job and she was just about to pick up her first passenger, an older man from accounting named Jose. He was a quiet sort and she didn't mind doing this. Just as long as she could actually listen to her GPS, she thought.
She walked into his driveway and got to his his door a moment later, knocking a few times. She heard nothing and was about to leave when the door opened.
It wasn't Jose.
Hours later, Jose walked to Isabella's house, wondering just how the hell he was going to explain all of this to her husband. She had insisted he go instead of her, saying it was his fault.
He agreed that it did happen at his place but he had no idea who those people were or why they had done it. She wasn't even supposed to be there, he never agreed to a carpool at all! Still, someone had gone to the trouble of doing this to the both of them and he'd at least try to smooth things over.
