Madeline Kaufman walked out of lobby of the exclusive hotel. It seemed an odd style for a hotel of that prestige, but it was the unassuming quietness that drew the rich and powerful to it. Just the place she was looking to be at for something like this.

The assistant to her husband was a young go-getter, handsome, just out of college, and eager to please. He'd be perfect. She had asked him to help her on a trip of hers and her husband obliged, despite this not being anywhere in his job description. When she asked for something, he'd do it.

So, when she asked him to meet her at an exclusive clinic after giving a briefcase to a business associate of her husband's, the assistant thought nothing of it. He was soon sent to her private room there and upon entering was promptly sedated.

A few days later Chris walked down the hall of another hotel, the place where he had been recovering. He knew she had done this to him. He knew that her husband had arranged it. The knew that he was now at least twenty-five years older, his male head half the age of his feminine body. In fact, he seemed to know everything save for one question, and it seemed to be the most important one.

Why.
