This one is pretty damn dark. Be warned.
Bruce walked up to her as she sat there on the park bench.
"Not very subtle, are you?" She asked, looking at his outfit.
"Do I need to be?" He asked. "It is not like anyone can dispute that it wasn't legitimate."
"Well..." She let that trail off. She didn't need to say more on that and both knew it.
"So," he said, sitting down beside her. "In two minutes a man will come up to you with a plastic bag from a retail store. It's your reward. Take it and never say a thing afterward."
"You don't want me to find you another?" She said with a smile. Even as bad as he was, that smile gave him pause.
"No, she was enough. I understand she was your friend, or at least she thought she was."
"Idiot. She's better off with your head. Her's can be in a dumpster for all I care."
"I see." He said, standing up and smoothing out a small bunch of hose near his knee. "Well, Wait thirty more seconds, I think."
He started to walk away and he saw the man walk past him and sit down on the bench beside her. She took the bag and as she did, he jabbed her with a syringe. A car pulled up quickly and just before she was hauled in, he turned and spoke to her in a soft, even tone.
"Your reward, my dear. A very, very long rest while my friend gets well acquainted with your body below his neck. A fitting reward for betraying a friend's trust. At least I'm a bad guy. What, I wonder, is your reasoning for your decision?"
"Oh," He said, turning to one of the men. He looked around to see if anyone had come near, and no one had. This place was empty this time of the week. "Find a nice dumpster for her head. Only fitting, I think."
