"Do you like your new office?" The middle-aged male manager asked Claude.
"I do, yes. It will be refreshing to have a new start here. Fresh office, fresh job, everything."
"I can understand that." He said. "I've heard what happened at your previous job. The illegal experiment."
"It is is a bit hard not to have." Claude pointed out. "And, we can call it what it was, a head transplant, and I noticed you have not said a word about it until now."
"I wasn't sure how you would feel about that."
"Then I will tell you. I would rather we all talk honestly about this. It is very obvious that I was one of the people who was affected by it. I do not mind discussion or honest conversation about this. It is better than gossip or rumors."
I... I see." The manager had not expected Claude to say that. "I'll pass that along and get with HR. We can discuss ways to work with you on this."
"I appreciate that. Now, though, if I may, I understand there is a lot of pre-work paperwork to handle."
"Yes, I will let you get it it." The manager said, quickly leaving.
Claude sat down, crossing his feminine legs, and had to laugh. He knew it would be odd anywhere he worked from now on, but what he didn't expect was how amused he was by the "corporate" reactions. They never failed to entertain. Now, he did have a lot of this to go, and he'd be shocked if he did any real work for at least two days. He shrugged. Still better than his last job.
