Plight of the Necromancer 1Chapter 1: All Hail the New Queen.
Juana Underwood rode in her covered wagon down the animal trail. It was just big enough to fit them. The wagon was pulled by a pair of skeletal horses. The rickety thing would bounce whenever it hit a mound of dirt. It was said this used to be a regular road, but that was long since passed.
"They really need to fix this blasted road," Juana complained. She wore a blue gown with a matching cape, her green skirt having gotten wrapped around her legs a bit with all the bouncing.
"And just who is going to bother maintaining this old thing? Aren't we off the main road?" Ness Simms spoke with her usual condescending tone as she looked up from her book. She was a neko dressed in an old maid uniform. Around her neck was a leather collar, small engravings inscribed on the metalwork.
"Well, they should mend it now. Soon it will get lots of traffic."
"Oh, I'm sure they will get right on that." Ness rolled her eyes, looking back at the pages.
This wagon was one o
Plight of the Necromancer 2Chapter 2: New Acquisitions
Queen Juana stood in her throne room. Ness had finally finished cleaning out all the dust and cobwebs, so it was now somewhat fit for use. It was a decently sized throne room, with two rows of columns on either side of the bug-eaten carpet. Crystal lanterns were attached to their sides, and most of them still worked.
Her throne was made of wood, restored but still missing various parts. Most likely, she would have to find a skilled craftsman to make her a new one from scratch. On one side was the stone form of a coiled up naga, bearing her fangs. She was quite willful, hard to break. Still, she was a trophy of conquest of this very castle. On the other side was the statue of a human woman holding a copper sword, gritting her teeth. She had been stripped of her armor and clothing and now stood nude.
A pair of skeletons held up a large oval mirror with a carved golden frame. Carefully, they attached it to one of the pillars. Juana finished the job, securing it
Plight of the Necromancer 3Chapter 3: Infiltrating the Castle
A group of adventures sat around a table at the Earthy Chestnut. It was a tavern in the Village of Ravenwallow. It was a good place to pick up rumors, and as such, people throughout the establishment were talking. Hanging on the main wall was a bulletin board with various notices.
Gavin was the team leader. A rather buff man, he wore steel plate armor and bracers, his helmet resting at his side at the moment. His weapon of choice was a broadsword. His shield would normally be strapped to his arm, but it too was off his person, along with his helmet.
Silvius was his second-in-command, and also the only single woman on the team. She wore reinforced leather armor and used a pair of short swords. She was rather fast on her feet.
Crazar was their spellcaster. He wore a breastplate under his red robes. He used an oak staff with a large jewel at the end, with his backup weapon, a short sword, at his hip.
Sahar was the team's healer. She wore light brown robe
Plight of the Necromancer 4Chapter 4: A New Hope
It was another morning in the City of Starcoast. As the sun seeped in from behind the curtains, the number on the clock turned over from 6 to 7. A blue orb rose from the top and started to glow as it cast a stimulation spell.
Lilly slowly opened her eyes. She was wearing only a pink transparent night gown, and even then, it wasn't fully covering her. She pressed her hand on the mattress and pushed herself up, then pressing down on the orb, sending back into the clock and ceasing the spell.
Someone shifted under the covers. It was Lilly's companion for the previous night. She wore a golden collar around her neck, a leather blindfold over her eyes, and a pair of leather cuffs behind her back. Her nipples were adorned with gold rings, similar to the one on her navel.
Lilly stroked her olive skin, giving her a bit of a squeeze before reaching behind her back and opening the cuffs. "Last night was wonderful." She lifted up her chin and gave her a kiss.
"Thank you, Mist
Plight of the Necromancer 5Chapter 5: Dark Tsunami
Lilly's carriage rolled into Ravenwallow. They retained the guise of traveling merchants, so the skeleton guards at the village gates paid them no real mind. When they stopped, Enide stepped out first, then Lilly followed. "Sanya, Nisha, stay with the carriage. Eleena, come along."
"Yes, ma'am."
There weren't as many people walking about as with in Dryrock, and certainly not as many as Forstford City. What few people there were seemed to be quite gloomy.
Sibyl came out of a building to meet with them. "Welcome, but we shouldn't stay outside. Come in." She led them to a building and opened the door. "Chief, we need to talk."
Lilly followed behind Sibyl, as did most of her slaves.
A man with a full beard walked into the front room, his hair brown with touches of gray. "Hello, Mistress Lilly. I did not think you would be paying us a visit directly."
"It's nice to see you again. There is something I wish to confirm before I set out." Lilly had met with all the villa

Lilly's forces had entered Phase 3 of their mission. To put it bluntly, it was basically mop-up. After taking a few minutes to rest and recover, they started collecting the bones of the fallen and sealed them away. The teams were ordered to search for any skeletons that might have survived. Without Juana, the mana generator, or the lich, most had fallen on their own. Still, a handful had kept themselves together and wandered off.
There was also the collection of their equipment. The spent spell grenades had to be gathered and sent for recharge. The field generators and latex landmines had to be dug up. They were remotely deactivated so there was no danger of them going off.
While her teammates were kept to a corner, Sahar held out her staff to one of the statues and bathed it in her light. He soon returned to the flesh and freaked out once he realized he was naked.
