Her breath isn't like a blaster, more like Superman's heat vision. She can't blast through obstacles. She would have to burn through them. She is VERY acrobatic.  She would rather avoid getting shot or hit than stand there and take it since her damage resistance is limited.  Pixie is just starting her superhero career and will likely get more powerful as time goes on.  Her inexperience tends to make her accident-prone while in a fight.  Her heroine role models are Curia and Lighthawk.
