Jun put his hand on the statue's shoulder and said, “Elf ears?! Petrification? What exactly were you actually trying to accomplish here?”

“...ind a way to reverse...” Dawn became aware again, “What happened?? Did I black out?? JUN!? Thank god you're here! I really got myself into a mess this time! Damn! I can't talk. He can't hear me!!!” She thought to herself with a mix of fear and relief.

“I don't even know if you are still aware in there Dawn but don't worry, I'll get to the bottom of what you did and reverse it. Let me go see what you were working on.” Jun said as he let go of Dawn and moved around her to get to the work bench.

“Oh thank you Jun!!!  Please hurry I don't like be........” Dawn's thoughts ended abruptly when Jun quit touching her stone form.

Jun carefully looked at the alchemical ingredients spread out on the work bench for a few minutes and then picked up the book that was propped up on the bench and intently read the page it was opened to and the pages before and after as well.

Jun let out a heavy sigh and started mumbling to himself, “Damn, with the different ways this can be translated I'm guessing you were trying to give yourself the longevity of an elf. Too bad that's not the right translation... This spell turns it's imbiber INTO an elf.” He said in exasperation, then continued, “Here's the real kicker, of all the ingredient's listed for the potion in the book I don't see Gum Arabic on the table. I do however see Gorgon Scales....” He trailed off and looked at Dawn's stone face in disbelief, “Gum Arabic and Gorgon Scales don't sound ANYTHING like each other in the Fey language Dawn! Oy, I've got my work cut out for me...”
