First installment. Text below.

“Hi baby! How's the first day of your casino conference going?” Dawn asked of her husband, Jun.

“Same old shit, different conference... How are things at home?” he asked.

“Oh, pretty boring so far. I thought I'd do some more research with my alchemy...” She said coyly.

“Please don't experiment without me there to double check your results please?” Jun groaned, remembering what happened last time.

“Hey!! I've gotten better at translating the books since that time!” She said indignantly, “Besides, I thought you enjoyed my time I spent as a centauress...” She said in a naughty voice.

“Well.... Be that as it may, I'd prefer if you'd stick with research and save the experimenting for when I'm back in town.” He said in a stern tone.

“Fine, fine! I'll wait...” Dawn said sullenly, “Have fun at your conference. I can't wait until you get home this weekend. Love you!”

“Love you too honey, Bye!” He said and then ended the call.

Dawn brought the phone down from her ear and gave a thoughtful look to the workbench where she had her research and materials spread out and thought, “I know Jun wants me to wait to experiment, but I'd be be wasting the expensive ingredients I just distilled. As a warlock, Jun will pretty much live forever and I want to spend it with him. I know that he says he can find a way with his magic to make it work but after reading his books on alchemy we discovered that I have a knack for it. Even if I don't always translate the text of the books accurately all the time...” She trailed off.
