After a delay I have the next one up! This one is shorter because I'm setting up to add another character. Hope you enjoy!

The Stand: Origins 3
“Things have worked out better than I could have possibly hoped for.” Vivian thought with a certain amount of smug satisfaction.
“I turned Dan into a mannequin on a whim more than anything. I thought having a mannequin in the store might help drum up more business but I didn’t expect such dramatic results. Although I do admit I cheated a little bit after the first couple of weeks.” She thought.
“Oh, traffic in the store did improve by 10% those first couple of weeks having Dan out on the floor but I felt like I could do better. So one night after I closed up for the day I cast a subtle compulsion spell on Dan’s pretty, plastic form. I didn’t want to to be to strong because I didn’t want to draw the attention of other magic users.” She thought.
“Sales rose a to a whopping 25% increase for year over year after I cast that spell! The items I had Dan displaying always sold the most!” She thought with a smile, “I waited another couple of weeks to make sure it wasn’t a fluke but sales stayed up! My income went up so much I hired a cashier to help out so I could take care of the back office tasks.”
“At this point I should have restored Dan since he’s been stuck standing there as a mannequin for two months now but with sales being so good I don’t want to ruin a good thing!” She thought while stealing a glance at Dan while ringing up her next customer with an expression on her face that didn’t really convey the idea that she was very contrite about Dan’s situation.
Vivian then took a glance at the woman that she just finished ringing up, “That woman in the dress intrigues me. I detected a strong magic aura radiating from her. She’s not the same type of witch I am but the strength of her aura has me intrigued. If she is the type of witch I think she is I could finally move forward on an idea I’ve been mulling over for the last month or so.” She thought to herself, “I put one of my enchanted business cards in her bag. As long a she has skill to back up the power I felt from her she’ll know what to do next.”
