The Magic Files- The Panty Witch Case
“Is that everything?” Bill asked his partner Willow.
“I believe so. I’m not finding anything else in the house with a magical signature at least.” She responded and then added, “I’m glad this is finally over.”
“Yeah, this was one crazy case. It took five years and four teams of agents to crack this one. All of the previous teams are part of the collection in front of us I assume.” He said with a sigh, pointing at the bed covered with women’s panties garters and hose.
I’d have to assume you are right. Our suspect certainly has been busy. Until today at least.” Willow replied.
“It was a lot closer of an outcome than I would have liked though! That witch’s spells almost overcame our defenses. I’m glad we don’t face people that strong all the time!” Bill said, recalling their showdown and capture of their suspect.
“I feel sorry for our co-workers and the rest of her victims. It’s going to be quite awhile before they get restored.” She said with sadness.
“Ugh, the department is swamped with all the cases that keep pouring in. Even with how bad our backlog is Mitch and his forensics team is even more swamped than us! After they ‘bag and tag’ everyone here it could be months or years before forensics even starts working on this case let alone starts restoring everyone.” Bill said in frustration.
“As much as I hate to say it, I hope the witch didn’t leave her victims sentient. At least then they won’t be aware of how much time is passing.” She said sadly then added, “I find it poetic that she fell victim to her own spell though! Nice reflection by the way!” Willow said while vindictively shaking an iron mesh bag with runes on it that contains a frilly pair of pink panties in it.
“Heh, thanks. She’ll stay that way until her trial too. Serves her right.” Bill said with a small, wicked laugh.
Willow then pulled her phone out of her pocket and after glancing at it said, “Mitch just sent a text. He’s out front now. What say we help forensics get everyone bagged, tagged and inventoried then go get a beer to celebrate closing the case?” She asked.
“Sounds great! Let’s get to work!” Bill said as they both walked out to help the forensics team get their gear inside.
