Description: As far back as she could remember Nicole was always a fan of transformations and other kinds of fantasies. Even though she really didn't like role-playing games much, the idea of being something different always amazed her. She always felt like something was missing, like this was not who she was meant to be. When she entered the college, she discovered a group of friends who played and joined Bradley's group shortly after.
Creating Kiara and playing her completed something deep within Nicole. When she was at the game table playing with the group 'being' Kiara felt right, felt like she was more alive and more complete when doing so. After a few game sessions being Kiara felt more real than being Nicole. She was getting obsessed with it.
She always tried to hide her desires and fantasies between game sessions, but if you spent some time talking with her you would likely soon suspect that she was distracted, her mind elsewhere, and if you talk about what she was thinking about she was quick to blush and would get quiet for a while. What could she say and not be thought of as being weird? Should she say that inside her mind, that Nicole was only a character? That her real self was an elf named Kiara? That the real world was limiting her in being able to show her true self? No, she kept those thoughts to herself and could barely stand waiting until game night every week, so she could put Nicole aside and be Kiara again, even if it was only in her head.
Then one game night reality was no longer a constant and she and the rest of the group found themselves in a totally new world and that they had become their characters from the game!! She had received her deepest, most intimate wish! To BE Kiara!
Even though Kelsey and Sam were handling their changes well, poor Victor had only arrived that night to start playing since Cindy couldn't anymore. He became Ilyana instead of Cindy and he was not handling it well at all. Kiara felt bad for him but found and along with the rest of the group tried to comfort him but she could not contain her joy at getting to live out her deepest wish. For that first month, she was giddy and full of energy even when the group was in danger. She was chided by the group for her frivolous behavior with Victor being the most vocal since he was still struggling greatly with his change but Kiara, while contrite was slow to change her ways.
Then Ilyana was gone.
Kiara was in the lead. They were in an unexplored location and she SHOULD have taken the situation seriously. She didn't and was taken completely by surprise when a large group of Orcs ambushed them. Her inattention allowed the Orcs to strip her bow from her hands forcing Ilyana to jump ahead and protect Kiara. They ran and Ilyana was forced to sacrifice herself so the rest of them could get away, and it was all Kiara's fault!
Kiara settled down after that and finally matured. She only wished that the price of learning that lesson wasn't so high...
She slowly recovered some of her liveness but remained focused and alert when out adventuring. She would NOT be responsible for the loss of another teammate.
