I'm tempted to tweak the light settings and immediately start test render 3, since I found a chart of specs for actual theatrical lights* and realized I underestimated values by anywhere from half to a factor of ten. However, this one took somewhere between 6-8 hours to render (I was asleep when it finished) and I can't tweak the Narumi figure I bought (or any other assistants, for that matter) while it's rendering.
This is a four point lighting setup- McCandless Method, plus footlights, and though it's all still too dim, it's starting to look like actual stage lighting.
Sorry for all the "in process" stuff, but sort of felt this was a necessary followup to the last one. (And some of you 3d artists might find it interesting.) Actual magic soon, I promise!
