Sawing a Fiance in Half
Hitomi rushed off stage after Tom, and Robyn followed, pushing the box and blades, all on their way to a quick costume change; Marisol, wearing a loose, sleeveless blouse and short skirt, waited at the top of the ramp for the path to be cleared. The non-standard stage in Thomas’s great room only had one entrance.
The Magician clapped his hands, drawing the audience’s attention back from the view of Robyn’s receding rear. “I have one last illusion to show everyone- one I believe at least two of you will find very special. Marisol?”
Marisol came down the ramp, looked at Jessie and me, and grabbed our hands. "Hey you two," she smiled, and pulled us up onto the stage.
The Magician smiled. "Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it for our volunteers! Could you two please tell me your names?" We did. He smiled and repeated them for the audience. "Richard and Jessica. I gather you two are an item?"
Jessie blushed, and smiled. I nodded.
"Excellent- you two make a beautiful couple. Now, we all know relationships are built on trust. So, tonight, I ask you, do you trust each other?" We nodded, holding hands.
The Magician smiled. Behind us, something was wheeled down the ramp to the stage. We turned. Laurel and stagehand Bob maneuvering the prop into place. It was two boards, 1x12's, standing upright on a thin, wheeled stand, that leaned back at a slight angle. A metal strip ran between them. At the bottom, extending forward, were two blocks, and at the top were two similar pegs, one at each corner. "Jessica. Would you like to step up on this board?"
Ever adventurous, Jessie nodded to the Magician, "Sure." She turned and grinned at me as I felt my cheeks flush- she knew that I was going to enjoy this. My girlfriend in a magic show? The anticipation and uncertainty was already driving me nuts!
The Magician helped her up. "Feet on the blocks, like... so. You can grasp the pegs at the top." She leaned back and grasped the pegs just above her head. Her elbows extended past the edges of the boards. "Now, Jessica- how much do you trust Richard?"
"Completely" She looked into my eyes.
Marisol and Laurel stepped up, and placed a cover on the board, over my girlfriend. It went all the way to the top, over her head. The bottom stopped in the middle of her thighs, where scooped cut outs both acted as stocks and left her legs exposed. Similar cutouts part way down the top let her arms show. It narrowed quickly past those cutouts to cover her head but leave her hands exposed. Like the board itself, there were two metal strips down the center. It was just as wide as her body, so the cover and makeshift stocks held her quite securely.
"Comfy, Jessica?" the Magician asked, casually.
I heard her muffled voice inside- “It’s a little dark in here, but, yes.” She wiggled her fingers and toes.
The Magician turned to me. "Now Richard. How much do you trust me?" The audience laughed. He smiled. "You don't have to answer that. Here." Somehow, he produced a saw from behind his back. It was a pull-saw, with a three foot long, double sided blade, on a thin, two foot long handle. I took it, and eyed it curiously. I flicked the blade with my finger. It was one piece of razor sharp, flexible steel. The Magician took it back, and slid it into the board that Jessie lay on, between her knees. He slowly drew it upwards until the blade was inside the bottom of the cover. He then turned the board to show me, and the audience, that the blade extended fully through the thin board and cover.
"Richard," he said, clasping a hand on my shoulder and leading me forward. "Tonight, you get to be the magician." He smiled. "I trust you know what to do?" He guided my hands to the handle. I grasped the saw firmly.
I looked down. The blade was between Jessie's toned thighs. She wiggled her toes. Could I really do this? My heart skipped a beat- magic- on stage- this was something I'd always dreamed of. I plunged the saw downwards, then pulled it up. It slid a bit closer to where Jess was inside the box. I slid the saw in and out again. And again. As it rose, so did my excitement. I hoped my bulge wasn’t too visible to the audience.
I felt a bit of resistance against the blade, and heard a gasp from within the cover. I stopped. Jessie gasped again, a slower sigh. "Mmmmm," she purred.
"Go ahead," the Magician encouraged me.
I slowly pushed the saw into the box again. "Unh-" from Jessie. Pulled it out. Heard a gasp. I looked up at her hands, gripping the pegs tightly. Her legs twitched as if she was trying to move her thighs. "Oh, Rick. Do that some more." I did it again. "Unh-" Gasp. "Faster... faster!"
I sped up my sawing, pushing the blade in and out, again and again, watching it plunge into the box all the way to the handle. Jessie's gasps grew louder, until I heard, muffled, the familiar sound she made when she came. I slowed, watched her hands gripping the handles, releasing, gripping. Her toes curled. I stepped back and looked. The saw was a third of the way up the cover.
The Magician took the opportunity to spin the box around, showing all sides. When the board was facing me, saw hanging through, he nodded to Marisol and Laurel. They stepped forward, grasped the cover, and pulled. The wood detached, the metal strip stayed in place. He turned the boards some more. The audience gasped, applauded. I blinked; it took me a moment to understand what I saw.
The metal was a guide for the saw blade, which went into the middle of Jessie's belly, and extended out the other side. I saw its gleam in the narrow gap between her back and the board, then the rest extending out the back. The Magician turned her till she faced me. Her wrap was shredded straight up through the middle and hung loose, her butt holding it to the board. Her swimsuit hadn't faired much better. She looked down, then looked at me. "So that's what you were up to," she smiled. I saw a faint line on her skin from the bottom of the saw, all the way down her belly.
The Magician took her right hand, and she let go of the peg. She made a fist, clenched, waved at the audience, then grabbed the peg again. "Jessica, you may want to hold still for the rest of this," the Magician advised. She nodded, then leaned back against the board. "Richard, go ahead."
I stepped forward and gripped the handle of the saw. The Magician nodded to me. I looked at Jess. "Are you up for this?" She smiled, and closed her eyes. I took that as a yes, and began moving the saw again.
Slowly it slid upwards through my girlfriend's body, cutting through her one piece swimsuit as it went. The blade passed between her breasts, and the last of her swimsuit, the fabric snapping away from the middle, not quite exposing her breasts. From as close as I was, though, I had a clear view under the remains of her suit. Her nipples were very pert, her areolas crinkled harder than I'd ever seen them before. I kept sawing. The blade passed up into her neck. I looked at the Magician. He nodded. I sawed upwards, and the teeth began slicing the same throat I'd kissed countless times. Soon they passed through her lips, then upwards to her nose. When the blade was in the middle of her forehead, she flicked open her eyes. They stared at the gleaming metal extending between them, then she looked at me. I sawed a few more times, and the saw passed out the top of her head, through the end of the metal guide. I pulled it away and stepped back, looking at Jessie, who smiled back at me. A fine line seemed to go completely through her middle, from her face down to her privates.
The Magician looked at Marisol and Laurel, then at me. "Thank you, Richard." Jess unclasped a hand. "Wait, Jessica- we're not quite done."
The two assistants came out with two thin sheets of clear glass. The Magician placed them between the metal guides, right in front of Jessie's face. She closed her eyes as slowly, he slid them completely through. Once they were even with the board behind her, he began to slide them downwards, right along the line I'd noticed. They soon filled the guide, completely bisecting my girlfriend. Marisol and Laurel each grasped one side of the board, and pulled.
The board, and Jess, slid into two pieces, and the audience went crazy. The assistants kept pulling until each half was several feet apart, then rotated them slightly inwards and pushed the halves forward until I was standing between them. Marisol leaned over and whispered loudly to me- "I bet you've never been between her thighs this way before!" Both Jessie and I blushed- she’d managed to say it at the exact instant the applause died down, and laughter started to spread through the room.
The Magician saved us from further embarrassment. “Rick, take a look- is that the real Jessica?” I stepped forwards and turned around. I could see the familiar freckle on her hip. “Go ahead and touch.” I lifted my hand to her cheek, warm under my fingers. She flicked open her eyes and smiled.
“Yes, without a doubt,” I confirmed.
“All right- but just in case, maybe there’s something unique we could use to prove to the audience, once she’s back together, that this is in fact her on the board… Why don’t you take another look?” He guided me around, between Jessie’s halves, to the view hidden from most of the audience.
I looked to my left, up her inner thigh to the gleam of the glass, reflecting in my eyes. Then I leaned forward a bit, and could see through. Inside. I felt a little queasy. “Um, I’m not a doctor…” My eyes were drawn downwards. Inside her, something gleamed. I remembered my anatomy- something gleamed just past the cervix, inside her uterus. “What’s that?”
The Magician stepped forwards, placed his hands on the glass, and slowly slid it upwards. I watched as he exposed the gleaming metal for me. “Go ahead, take it- quickly.” I reached in, my unsteady fingers first brushing the inside of Jessie’s vagina, then reaching in to pluck out a ring. The whole right side of her body shuddered under my touch, and from behind me- her left side- I heard a gasped- “Oh! Oh Gaaww!”
The Magician quickly slid the glass back in place, and I stepped back in front of Jess, as Marisol handed me a small handkerchief to wipe off the ring. I looked at it closely. “This- this is…”
“Yes, I believe you were saving this ring for a special occasion?”
Both of Jessica’s eyes opened wide.
The Magician prompted me- “Do you want to put it on her finger?”
“I- yes. Yes! I do!”
“Well, then ask her! And Jessica- answer honestly now. I’ll put you back together regardless of what you say.”
I fell to my knees, as much from nerves as from tradition, and held the ring up in the air. “Jessica Browne. Jessie- will you marry me?”
In strange stereo, I heard her halves answer an excited “Yesh!” She let go of the peg with her left hand and reached forwards. I kissed it, and slid the ring on her finger. She held it up, waved it back and forth, trying to see it with both eyes.
The Magician walked between her halves and motioned to Marisol and Laurel. “Let’s get her back together- and this couple back together.” The assistants put the wooden covers back in place on the boards, and pushed the two halves back together. Slowly the Magician pulled the glass partitions out, and handed them to Marisol to carry away.
Jessie opened and closed her fingers around the pegs, and the Magician and Laurel picked up the cover and pulled it off. My girlfriend- now fiance- stepped off the blocks (in one piece again, of course) and threw herself at me, hugging me tight. “Rick! Yes!” she said as one again, her words no longer slurred against the glass. “Yes, of course I’ll marry you!” She leaned back and held up her hand, able to look at the ring with both eyes now. Of course it was the same one I’d slid onto her finger moments ago.
We didn’t even notice the audience applauding as we kissed.
