Hey folks, Occasionally I post stuff about my musical endeavors, but there's not always a ton of relevance, so I usually keep that on the DL. This time though, we're a week out from my band's new album release, and this is actually an album where I have written several songs and lyrics on dysphoria and and like, and thought it might be a good time to share!
Here's some links for our latest single "My Shadow" which I think is my favorite track on the album. Hope y'all enjoy!

LYRICS
My shadow got away from me, and got up to something ugly in a back room where it grew into a man.
I thought it wouldn’t want to.
I thought I had a say in all of this, but I still can't see a damn thing, all along the avenue, a mist.
My shadow got away from me, and turned into something wary.
It won’t come back and I won’t ask, cause I don’t like how its looking at me.
I thought this wouldn’t happen.
I thought that we were friends.
Through thick and thin but I lost track of all the shit I'm in
My shadow got away from me, and slunk into the belfry.
And the last time that I saw it I went mad.
I saw it didn’t match me.
I saw that it had changed while away but I’m lost without the damn thing.
On walls and cracks, its permanence I miss.
I must be more than the shadow I cast
If I could look past my damn reflection
I’m caught in the darkness between you and the light.
I know it’s not right but I can’t see past him
I must be more than the favors I ask, if I could trust in my own intentions
I’m caught in the darkness between me and my dreams
I’m not what I seem, but I can’t see through him
you know I don’t ask for much, so won’t you grant me this illusion?
