Immediately phil began to feel really strange. Something had gone wrong, and he knew it.  he could feel the blue liquid squelching through his veins.  His body began to itch as he watched his dark body-hair recede slowly into his skin. It became clear to the scientists that Phil was in distress, and yet they chose not to act as his body changed. Instead they muttered to each-other and scribbled furiously on their clipboards.  

[A] As Phil watched in horror, some of his new muscles began to look a little less toned
[B] Phil's skin began to sag just a little bit around his face.
[C] Phil yelled in pain as a massive cracking noise emanated from his waist.
