Amanda stumbled awkwardly down the corridor, tottering on high heels as though wearing them for the first time. Her knees bent clumsily, and her gait was drastically different from her usual confident stride. Every so often, her hands would tug at the tight green dress with a kind of irritation, as though the dress itself annoyed her, despite looking incredible on her and accentuating her slender figure.

Suddenly, she froze in the middle of the corridor, catching something odd out of the corner of her eye. For a brief moment, she forgot the wild beating of her heart and the maddening strands of hair falling over her face. Her eyes went wide as she spotted a familiar figure—her own body, lying on a stretcher, being urgently wheeled away by paramedics.

— What the hell… — Amanda whispered, unable to believe her eyes. That person on the stretcher... was that really her body?

She stood there, rooted to the spot, unable to tear her gaze from the sight. One thought pulsed through her mind: This wasn’t supposed to happen! According to the plan, Amanda’s body—her real body—was supposed to be lying in the lab, heavily sedated, while she—Jeff Crawford, the CEO—was temporarily engaged in this “role swap,” posing as the delicate secretary to gather information from Foster.

That very morning, everything had been under control. Her true identity—Jeff Crawford, one of the company’s CEOs—had flawlessly executed a body swap operation, becoming the secretary of his colleague, Amanda Brooks. Jeff had long suspected that his colleague, Ron Foster, was playing dirty and hiding crucial information. And given their... close relationship, Mandy, as Ron called her, was meant to be the key to unlocking Foster’s secrets. She was dependent on him, living in his shadow, constantly fearful of his reprimands and threats. Everything had been meticulously planned. With all these factors in mind, she was sure to know a lot.

But to Jeff’s utter surprise, Foster turned out to be sharper than expected and clearly hadn’t shared anything with Amanda. When Jeff, in her body, approached him, trying to pry something out, instead of the anticipated confessions, Ron had grabbed her wrist harshly and led her toward his private office, where he started hugging and kissing her. Jeff felt horror wash over him as he realized the situation was spinning out of control. These touches, this repulsive intimacy—it was unbearable. In Amanda’s body, he felt a fragility and helplessness against Foster’s physical strength like never before.

— Hey… Ron, wait! — he blurted out, trying his best to make his voice sound firm, but instead hearing a thin, strained whisper.

Ron chuckled, pulling her closer, his warm breath close to her ear. Revulsion and anxiety flooded Jeff. This wasn’t just a friendly touch—Ron acted as though she belonged to him.

— Come on, Mandy, — Ron said, grinning as he looked down at her. — Forgot your place?

Jeff felt a surge of anger, but he had to get out of there somehow. Continuing was pointless; his plan had gone up in flames.

He tried to pull away, stepping back, but Ron held her firmly.

— I… I need to use the restroom, — Jeff muttered, scrambling for any excuse to escape. — Unless you want me to pee myself right here?

Ron hesitated, looking at her with a mixture of disappointment and something close to contempt.

— Fine, but don’t take too long, — he replied with a hint of something ominous, letting go of her hand. — I’m waiting.

Jeff barely held back from snapping back at him but nodded silently and hurried away. His chest burned with humiliation. The moment he exited the office, his first thought was to get to the lab and cancel the body swap. And along the way, he suddenly saw…

His own body on a stretcher, being wheeled out by a medical team. He froze as a single thought shot through his mind: Catastrophe.
